    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Wyoming Valley Health Care System as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers; good support staff; great location; great training opportunities; computer savy; can work independently

    Cons

low salary; too many turnovers in management; low morale at times; slow in filling vacant positions; leave employees un informed at times

    Advice to Management

listen more to employees' needs; need regular weekly supervision added to employee schedules

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Wyoming Valley Health Care System part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job itself at First Hospital Wyoming Valley in Kingston was fairly easy.

    Cons

The majority of staff are unhappy with working conditions, particularly upper management's treatment towards them. Poor working conditions, unsafe staffing on night shifts, the company does not care about the patients only the bottom line, never providing anything above the basic necessities for patients.

    Advice to Management

Staff night shift better, provide more act ivies and better food for the patients, take better care of the patients, support staff more rather than always only coming around to point out mistakes, show some appreciation to the staff

    Pros

good co workers that are always willing to help if you need it. challenging work. lots of patient care experience. teamwork environment.

    Cons

can work short staffed if management sends employees home. being sent home means you use your vacation time. or go without being paid.

    Advice to Management

patient care should come before profits

I worked at Wyoming Valley Health Care System part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They worked with my schedule and my hours were flexible. Most fellow co-workers in my department were pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement in department. The pay was below average for a job in that field. The management throughout was poor and needed improvement.
