I worked at XTRA Airways full-time

    Pros

XTRA is a great airline in the making. New management, very professional, well maintained aircraft, extremely customer-friendly.

    Cons

I wish it flew to more cities on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I worked at XTRA Airways (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Experiencing Traveling and (personal) flight benefits meeting new people. Getting to see the world and making new friends. That’s really it

    Cons

Management is very bad. Favoritism plays a big role in your employment, Crew Sceduling forgets about you any destination you’re at, this company lies like a rug. Upper management only cares about the money in their pocket. Your hourly wage is not enough for your cost of living. They’ll Use you until their needs are fulfilled and then throw you to the side like swamp meat. Credit cards are constantly declining when it comes to flight attendant housing outside their base. Seniority in this company means everything.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to keep and Airline running and employees happy and make them feel like they’re working toward something greater.

I have been working at XTRA Airways full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    None. Cant think of any.

    Cons

You are forced to work for and with lazy, stupid and incompetent people. If you are proficient at your job, the management forces more on your plate to compensate for the numerous ding dongs (who can't even speak english conversation) that HR hires. HR hires their fellow mammies and pappys,

    Advice to Management

Dont lie to your employees to get them to accept a job at your airline and then turn around and treat them like scum when they hold you to the terms in the offer letter (that YOU wrote)! This practice starts from the CEO down, research Frank Visconti's dishonest record before considering work here.

I worked at XTRA Airways full-time

    Pros

The schedule is 20 days in 10 days off. So it’s like having a 10 day vacation every month.

    Cons

They will fire you for anything.

    Advice to Management

Get a union to ensure fair work place

I worked at XTRA Airways full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was pretty good (if you worked).
The people in your base are amazing!
Depending on the flights it is a nice experience

    Cons

You will worry about if you have a job 24/7. Management doesn’t care about your well being unless you’re a “favorite”. If you’re not a favorite prepared to get talked down to by other lead Fas and management not having your back. You will be furloughed because they can not keep contracts. You are constantly discriminated against. Coworkers on power trips are trash, management is trash, and the planes are trash. Go to another airline it’s not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Maybe you should get to know your flight attendants and hear their voice instead of lounging around under a palm tree. Seek help from other airlines to know how to properly manage.

I have been working at XTRA Airways full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

you get to travel and stay over places, you can jumpsuit on Jet Blue and Southwest, training is in Miami and paid for, 401K and benefits are excellent

    Cons

unorganized new company, only guaranteed 70 hours at $21.40 per MONTH which means you are making less than half of a 40hr work week, more of a part time job but without the schedule flexibility, claim they award schedules, wages and raises by seniority but they don't, scheduling makes too many mistakes with hotel bookings, on reserve(on call) a lot of the time,

    Advice to Management

hire scheduling people who can do their job, too much time on reserve

I worked at XTRA Airways full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The traveling experiences were great.

    Cons

Crew Scheduling was a nightmare, often knowingly disregarding crew rest and legality to fly in order to cover a flight.

    Pros

    you never see your boss

    Cons

Poor management......you never see them as they are across the country. They listen to gossip from their favorite employees. They have no idea about the day to day operations. They either love you or hate you and even that changes day to day

    Advice to Management

maybe you should have your offices another 2500 miles closer to your business.

    Pros

I don't have any good reasons for this company .

    Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked as a flight attendant . They use you and abuse you with paying you the lowest amount they can . This company breaks so many rules according to the FAA so do your self a favor and save your time don't bother applying to this company apply to a real airline where your hard work as a flight attendant will be appreciated and safety is #1 . Not to mention if you were fatigue you weren't allowed to report it or you get fired . Scheduling was unorganized , hotel bookings were unorganized most of the time not even booked by the time you get to your hotel . Get your experience and get out of there !

    Advice to Management

Hire people who are experienced managers stop hiring people from fast food reasturants . "Managers" don't know how to communicate with you get people with experience that entire company is a joke !
