- 5.0Jul 13, 2023HR- RecruiterCurrent Employee, more than 1 yearSaint Louis, MO
Pros
-Lots of independence and autonomy -Opportunity to take on new challenges and learn new skills- I just completed an HR certification course paid for by the company. -Accessible and supportive leadership across multiple levels -Top-performing company in a stable industry = reliable home to build a career
Cons
-Lots of responsibility- your team is relying on you to learn quickly! -Smaller workplace environment means making an additional effort to build relationships with teammates at other locations. Taking initiative is key at this company! -Management wants to support you and help you grow, but you'll need to do the groundwork of finding the right learning opportunity for your goals. For me, this meant learning to speak up and get proactive- would highly encourage taking advantage of the company's tuition reimbursement program if you're feeling in a rut with your professional development.

Pros
Great benefits - health, dental, vision, PTO and Sick leave. HR is easy to work with on any of these if you have issues. You take care of a lot of different aspects of helping the branch run smoothly. It will let you grow in a number of areas like: Customer Service, prioritization, multi tasking, employee and vendor management, and more. While in training the opportunities of temporary assignments let you experience places outside of your comfort zone. another bonus to this is your hotel, meals, and travel are all paid for.
Cons
There are a lot of things to keep track of. None of that work here is that difficult, however the amount can be overwhelming at some points. Compensation could be better but it is not terrible. After transition from Operations Assistant to Manager there is very limited mobility
