Pros
1st Week they seem like this happy, exciting company you'll be with for the rest of your career... you'll have fun with the busy work and planning of your schedule.
Cons
- 60-70 hour work weeks are typical - Clients in different regions meaning you are in standups with you Australian team when you're about ready to sign off for the day (be ready for 7pm slack messages and Google Meets invites, I'm actually traumatized of the notification sound lol) -juggling 7-10 projects at one time while being on pointless standups that don't actually allow you get work done - no assistance from management when you tell them your overworked -CEO is brainless and could careless about employees being SEVERLY overworked. -

Not The Same Company I Joinned
May 18, 2023 - Prefer Not To Say in Denver, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Remote opportunities, day to day changes (not monotonous)
Cons
Poor compensation Nepotism Low advancement rate Fraternity atmosphere Sales Department are the only heroes, everyone else can kick rocks Poor management In recent months, I've realised that the Xactly of today is not the same company I joined and loved several years ago. when people would ask, " What do you love about your job ?" it was easy to respond: the people, the culture, the challenges that keep me on the top of my toes, the swag that would randomly show up in the mail.... Times are very different now - completely the opposite. After layoffs, the CEO gave a company-wide All Hands that shaved manic emotional shifts from "sadness" to annoyance as remaining employees grappled with the situation they were in: the same amount of work, with fewer employees to complete it. Meanwhile, Sales hasn't been able to hit their numbers in a LONG time, but they're still getting treated to company trips, President's Club, and awards. Ho w is that suppose to make the rest of the company feel? Can we all do a poorjob and still get rewarded? Seems like we're all doing our jobs ( plus the work of former coworkers), achieving our objectives, but not getting anything more than our regular paychecks. That's not to say we should be getting extra, but under performers shouldn't be given more over others. We're not stupid - we see it happening and it creates resentment and more turnover. A lot of good people are gone from the company and people are reaching burnout and frustration. We have been told we should "feel lucky we have a job", which only add more to my point and fuel to the fire. Not to mention: it's not true. Because, we are so lean right now that with each departure, it's a significant knowledge loss that no one is ready to cover. If you're not one of the "bros", this place probably isn't for you.

It was great at one point but…not for the last few years

Free snacks and a full bar
Cons
Just had a big layoff that wasn’t handled very well and could have been avoided (both the layoff and the logistics). Recently hired employees were let go - very bad planning. The CEO has told employees to tell their manager which employees are not working hard (mentioned also in other reviews), CEO swears a lot during all hands and has told employees “if you don’t like it leave” ( he’s highly agitated given the high employee initiated turnover and the need to do layoffs) Nepotism and favoritism is very visible and includes several family members and family friends (up to the exec level) —-It’s the inside joke. Learning opportunities are limited to only a few. Leadership credibility is eroded. After nearly 20 years in business an exit of some sort would have been expected in the past 5 years - many missed opportunities fueled by greed. Vista, it’s time for the Xactly top dog to move on.

“Stop asking what Xactly can do for you, start asking what you can do for Xactly.” - Chris Cabrera, CEO

Unlimited time off, work from home, free swag
Cons
CEO doesn’t care about employees. Often quotes “it’s not what the company can do for you, it’s what you can do for the company.” Says he sleeps well at night after doing layoffs. Very disappointed with the leadership. Interpersonally, Xactly is great. But with any higher management, it’s truly profits over people. They expect the employees to pick up slack with their organizational mishaps. They don’t set their employees up for success or the resources they need. Look for a company that cares about you.

Lots of opportunity to climb the ladder Product Line almost sells itself Everyone is supportive of Sales, easy to get CEO and other C-Levels involved with any deal Well established company name yet continues to be dynamic and explore new market Great Vision for future from leadership
Cons
Cold Brew Machine in office runs out too frequently As a current employee, we are able to tell who writes what on this website, and can tell you confidently that 95% of the negative reviews were written by individuals who were given lots of chances to improve. There are plenty of current C-levels, VPs, and Directors who started at the bottom here and who would be happy to tell you how positive their entire Xactly journey has been.
