    Pros

Extenda is a company that truly values its employees. They offer great benefits and options to work remotely. They have a strong belief in professional development and want all of their employees to succeed.

    Cons

Many of the positions require an extensive amount of travel.

I have been working at Xcenda full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very few left now. There was a time when Team Leads earned their positions due to their expertise and leadership ability. Now it's how well they bow and capitulate to senior leaders.

    Cons

Now that we've lost the best, brightest and hardest working VP leading the field teams, we're left with even less of a reason to stay. Entourage-building isn't leading. Field teams will continue to implode, and clients will continue to stay away, until this organizational cancer is removed. Only those without BS degrees, and have no other path, are staying.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and rid the company of negative influences.

    Pros

Great collaborative and down to earth culture. Very smart people not full of themselves. People coming from other companies comment on the great culture they found at Xcenda.
In addition to all the opportunities common to any strategic consulting company, being part of AmerisourceBergen opens the door to many more.

    Cons

There could me more mobility of people from one group to another when projects allow.

    Advice to Management

    Maintain the great culture!

I worked at Xcenda full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent clients and rewarding/fufilling positions. Compensation excellent.

    Cons

This division is run by a senior leadership "clique," who runs the operations with little or no regard to its field reimbursement/access managers. If you do not conform to "their vision," you will be targeted for their unprofessional and unwarranted campaign. No matter what you do or don't do, you don't have a chance of succeeding or advancing. Promotions are reserved for the "yes" people who support them, no matter if their ethics are compromised, AND, even if these associates had little experience, competence, or seniority. It was the most hostile work environment in which I have been employed. If you decide to accept an offer of employment, and you are not one to "tow the line" for this out-of-control group of senior leaders, please pause.

    Advice to Management

Nothing short of a purge of these senior leaders will suffice to improve this division. They are tolerated because of the significant sales and profit of the division.

    Pros

Creative team is fantastic and are worked to the bone by out of control Account Directors. The day to day folks are great to work with as they struggle to manage without basic project management tools. Some very smart professional colleagues.

    Cons

Run, don't walk if you come into contact with Payer Services Market Access Commercial Consulting. The leadership team is all about backstabbing, finger pointing and rewards those who follow this style They only want yes people, so do not fall for the we are looking for ideas and experience. The pay is terrible, the company is cheap, and make sure you ask about being responsible for 82% chargeable time, since that is not disclosed until you are hired.

    Advice to Management

As the new president, please clean out the MACC leadership as they are ruining your reputation and driving your business into the ground.

    Pros

High caliber of professionals, well respected by Industry.

    Cons

The Pros, listed above does NOT APPLY to the Field Outsourcing service line. They are the most unprofessional group you'd ever want to meet. The management of this particular team is incompetent, and will hold you back if you have career aspirations, or show potential. Despite what they claim, they do not value talent, if you are not in "the chosen" group.

    Advice to Management

Senior Management needs to address the issues, regarding the Field Outsourcing service line- many a good person has left.

    Pros

Xcenda is making some key changes to compete and align on the global front. As a forerunner, Xcenda has to ensure staff is beyond mediocre. Some resist change while progressive talent embraces it. Xcenda is primed for success and each associate should take advantage of resources and expand beyond the minimum requirements.

    Cons

Many associates demonstrate and entitled attitude and are afraid of new challenges. Many have a small business mentality and struggle to keep up the pace that consultants are required to.

    Advice to Management

Associates would benefit from open and honest communication regarding competition in the market and how to remain competitive.

    Pros

Field Team brings true value and important information to provider services.

    Cons

You will be forced out if your knowledge and experience is uncomftable to some Directors. They lie to upper management , they create a hostile environment. As an employee you are constantly forced into a defensive mode

    Advice to Management

For the reputation of Xcenda and the remaining good employees still employed, you must take a look at the current Directors and Team Leads
