Very disappointing. Management hamstrung. If you're considering working here ask very hard questions in the interview.

    Pros

I've never done a Glassdoor review before but I felt compelled in this case as I wish I would have known this information before joining the company. XME has a ton of potential and can be great in the future if things change. In its current state, it's a very confusing, frustrating and friction filled experience on a day to day basis. Management actually is awesome and they really care about employees. it's my opinion that all the issues are stemming from lack of resources and unrealistic expectations from the PE firm that owns Xcentric Mold. -fascinating industry -Base pay -PTO -Immediate management really cares and is doing their best (private equity owned, tons of pressure and little resources) -potential to make lots of money in sales if things turn around

    Cons

-****commission clarity is non existent*** -completely unrealistic goals -sporadic quota and territory changes with no warning (3 territory/quota changes in 6 months) -no ramp for quota -extremely difficult working with other departments -commission plan is very confusing -Private equity owned, culture is challenging (all about the bottom line) -equipment provided is very subpar -tech stack is very bad -alot more than standard 9-5 (I expected this but might be important for someone considering the company) - almost 0 training

    Pros

New executive team is focused on quality and taking care of our customers. People are very friendly and helpful, want the company to succeed. Get to work on a lot of different projects. New executive team is making efforts to listen to employees. Can email CEO directly and get a response if I have a question or concern.

    Cons

Computer system is very challenging. Communication is sometimes poor between departments. Raises have been hard to get. Has been a lot of turnover in executive group, but optimistic this group is going to stay. Not a huge company so not much room for advancement.

Worst company I’ve worked for, private equity stay away

    Pros

Remote job with flexible hours and paid weekly for base wage.

    Cons

Have cut sales staff in half with no warning. Do not get paid for sales commission because it’s based on collected and not sold. Poor management and private equity board of decision makers.

THE WORST "COMPANY" YOU CAN GET INTO

    Pros

No pros for this company, they do not have guidelines or SOPs for anything, work environment sucks they hire and fire people each week. They will tell you that you will receive training, but expect nothing.

    Cons

Poor management, inconsistent procedures, new systems and rules every month. They expect you to work more than 8 hrs a day and over the weekend with no appreciation. CEO changes at least twice a year every time. Think twice before accepting an offer from this place.

    Pros

    Hours and low cost benefits.

    Cons

Owner and management is close nit and closed minded. Bad ideas come from outsiders. They already know all the answers no need to attempt to offer any opinions.

    Misleading job descriptions

    May 10, 2019 - Engineer

    Pros

Most employees in the back are hardworking and committed. Ask a question on the floor and anyone will find you an answer. Every employee on the floor takes pride in their craft to make a good product, due to unreasonable deadlines pride was not always possible.

    Cons

Working in both the front and the back, i got to see first hand the separation of the company or "separation of intelligence" as it was described. I was told i would be making learning in multiple departments to help out and learn. I noticed more and more people 5-8 year employees disappearing , the shop moral sank , benefits became worse yearly and raises were out of the question. When 11 people get termed in a week without reason(owner would not give reason), I wouldn't look at it as "Growing pains" . The latest handbook is a shared 2015 edition leaving room to cut incentives and change policy on the fly. I would not recommend, growth in the company is minimal, any advances will not be compensated. Vacation days are frowned upon and if you are sick, you are expected to show.

    Positive Growth

    Pros

The company has utilized technology to streamline the mold making process and pass those savings onto the customer to offer competitive pricing in the marketplace. The shareholders continue to recognize the value of the employees and strive to include all employees in decision-making. Ownership is committed to company growth, by continually adding people, new machines, and additional manufacturing space.

    Cons

The company is undergoing a changing culture due to management team turnover. The right people seem to be in place now, but it has taken time and there are natural growing pains during the transition.
