I have been working at XenoBiotic Laboratories full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Knowlegable upper management. Everyone helps you learn. This is my first job after college and I can't see myself wanting to work anywhere else. Super flexible hours. Higher starting salaries than most of my other friends who entered the industry. Ability to move through different departments to get more experience. Very helpful HR. Oriented towards helping the employees get better benifets. One of the best health insurance...

    Cons

For me Plainsboro is a hike. A lot of driving.

    Advice to Management

Continue giving employees the opportunity to change departments. Scientists enjoying work they want to so/want to learn will stay with the company longer. Keep up the good work. My whole department unanimously agrees, we love working here.

I have been working at XenoBiotic Laboratories full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Since XBL is not a huge company they'll have you doing all sorts of different stuff so you'll get to learn a lot when you first get there.

    Cons

There is a ceiling as to how far you can go . Advancement is slow and they have a high turn over rate for a reason.

    I worked at XenoBiotic Laboratories

    Pros

    "Lots of parking, free coffee."

    Cons

Cronyism, straight up sexual harassment, low compensation, no work-life balance, no appreciation for employees. Ineffective upper management does not begin to cover it. Management is awful on all levels. Not surprisingly, terrible ethics.

    Advice to Management

Total overhaul needed, clear out all management.

I have been working at XenoBiotic Laboratories full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The A/C works. Although they should invest in dehumidifiers. Plainsboro is getting a Panera and Five Guys do lunch will be enjoyable.

    Cons

There is not enough space or time to list them all. At least they don't whip and chain employees or barricade the doors.

    Advice to Management

Get a conscience - what goes around comes around!

I have been working at XenoBiotic Laboratories full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Typical CRO Use as stepping stone for position at larger pharma after 1 year.

    Cons

Company was taken over by WuXi AppTec and is a mess. Turnover high, morale at rock bottom, management non-existent, new HR ineffective. Benefits getting worse each year. Scientists used to learn and old management used to care. GLP compliance????...only a matter of time now.

    Advice to Management

This is not China Jinn is no longer CEO - he is already missed (rating is for him).

I have been working at XenoBiotic Laboratories full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility with hours Good working environment Great experience to begin a career (especially if looking to move into pharma) Cross training exposes the employee to multiple disciplines and fields.

    Cons

Salary Advancement restricted by degree possessed

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to pull it together. There is too much of an emphasis on the degrees employees possess instead of the quality of the work they put out. Management needs to work on the turnover issue by retaining the talent instead of allowing it to go elsewhere, with salary seeming to be a huge issue for most that leave.
