I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The actual work can be interesting and challenging. There is a good work/life balance, and some flexibility with regards to working from home

    Cons

Contrary to the stated core value - we value our employees, almost everything the company does says otherwise. Also, they have eliminated all engineering positions on the west coast. It's now Rochester or nothing.

    Advice to Management

Pay a bonus to everyone in the company, not just the top 1%

I worked at Xerox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is below average. Benefits are expensive. Company doesn't trust employees. No life.

    Cons

Long hours, work without pay, No family life, back stabbing, cheating to make numbers, lies, and black balled if you leave. Deseptive practices on customers, employees, and the competition. Xerox lacks the morality to even stay in buisness.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to employees and customers. Let people do their work without having to lie and cheat to make numbers. If an employee leaves, stay out of their lives. Stop playing games with our lives. If I can save a customer or an applicant from Xerox, then I have achieved my goal.

I worked at Xerox as a contractor (More than 10 years)

    Pros

a job and co-workers. I worked with many great people over the years and remain friends with many today.

    Cons

I will never work for Xerox again. I am a former long time employee that was layed off. Everything has changed. This company is no longer a great company that I remember from years ago. It is now all about getting the most out of workers while giving them little in return. Benefits now suck. It is not about loyalty in any way shape or form. This is now one of those companies where the cream at the top are millionaires and they get some joker to come in, coldly make the cuts to staff and move on to the next gutting. Anything you may have been promised for your loyalty means NOTHING to this corporation. Period The jobs at my location have been moving to Guatemala!

    Advice to Management

Quit targeting people's performance when you know darn well that corporate says its time again to fire more headcount. Shame on the managers who have become more like Gestapo then anyone's friend or champion. It is disgusting how this company is now considered one of those corporations which is a classic example of how income inequality works and looks like. Too bad. As far as culture and values??? What values???
