    I worked at Xerox full-time

    Pros

Great balance between work and family.

    Cons

Unfortunately Xerox has fallen on hard times and restructuring has become the norm. Looking forward to Xerox returning to a great company.

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work from home schedule was very nice, the people that I worked WITH were also very knowledgeable and nice.

    Cons

The company does not care about the employees, their families, the work environment. We worked in a closet, in a secure room (which is understandable) but it was a closet with 12 people, no windows, air vents in the floors, everyone was sick all the time because they didn't take care of the filters/ventilation system. The building management had an issue with bed bugs in the building and did not treat them properly, it went on for months. The Manager's lied about the length of the contract with the company we contracted for, so we were all going to be laid off 3 years earlier than the timing of the contract I was originally told, and they just could not stop lying to tell me what I wanted to hear instead of the truth. Promised bonus' for very additional hours, never received them and was always told that it "may still happen, don't give up hope". Most of the management just had no clue what the employees actually performed on a daily basis and they couldn't stop lying and pointing fingers long enough to learn.

    Advice to Management

Learn what your employees do on a daily basis so that you can actually be helpful instead of just sending e-mails and creating more havoc.

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible about working from home.

    Cons

Terrible benefits. Minimal 401k match. They like to restructure in order to lay people off consistently. I was shuffled around 6 times in 4 years. Finally got tired of it and resigned.

    Advice to Management

Have a plan, work the plan and be consistent. First line managers are afraid of upper level managers which tells me they aren't treated very well.

    I worked at Xerox full-time

    Pros

Other than the team leads and higher ups. The people who you work with are actually nice and "in the trenches" with you and are willing to help if you are clueless or confused. That's all I can think of that is considered "good".

    Cons

The stress is overwhelming. I was stressed all day, every day for the 8 months I worked here. I now suffer from anxiety and panic disorder because of this company. Worked tech support and all the passwords you need to log on to tools weren't given to me so I wasn't able to help people which led to them being angry at me,yelling at me. The managers have massive power trips feeling they are better than you and they will remind you of that constantly (in a passive way). There is a pay freeze of $10 for employees. Unless you get promoted (chances are you'll be fired before that happens) You'll never get a raise.

    Advice to Management

When hiring please give people the tools to succeed instead of setting them up for failure. If a employee doesn't understand how something works. WORK with them instead of expecting them to just magically already know how to find a solution to the problem. Rework your training, it's terribly flawed and leaves people more confused than actually getting something that will assist them in the job.

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement is available. Some okay benefits.

    Cons

Some of the worst management (on every level) known to mankind. So many good managers were terminated while so many incompetent managers were promoted.

    Advice to Management

Value knowledge and skill above all.

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work hours & schedule, Semi-autonomous, quality US talent

    Cons

Unfortunately, due to the nature of BPO work the continual drive for lower costs caused the company to sacrifice quality US based talent for marginal to inept talent in India. Inconsistent leadership messaging and action sometimes hindered progress.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the critical few and make them clear to all employees.

    Pros

Work/life balance, generous vacation for tenured employees

    Cons

Low salaries, no room to grow, offshoring is prevalent therefore job security is always a factor, poor management

    Advice to Management

Bring this Company back to the great company it used to be. Off shoring isn't the right answer to cutting costs.

    I worked at Xerox full-time

    Pros

Its very good company if you are having good experience and looking for good work life balance .Most of the works are done by the vendors so there is very less pressure on Xerox in house employees . Mostly 3-4 hours of work per day but it varies on project to project . They provide good job security and work from home option . free cab is there for 2PM to 10.30 shifts . Managers are employee friendly .

    Cons

Cafeteria is not good .performance is not the only criteria looked in appraisal . You may end up getting less appraisal even after working hard .

    Advice to Management

    Look for quality work .
