I worked at Xerox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overtime was almost always available. If you stay and grind it out, looked like there was upward mobility. When you clock out you don't have to worry about that place until you return. To be fair, there were many improvements the company implemented (Pay, Workplace environment) right before I left.

    Cons

Dealing with difficult customers, being docked in performance for losing customers with issues that began with other employees. There's no way you can support a family off of the regular 40 hour pay.

    Advice to Management

Managers have quotas and performance measures to meet from the powers that be, the ones I knew did what they could.

I worked at Xerox full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I have worked for Xerox for the last 10 years. The average lifespan of an employee averaged about 10-40 years. That is because they valued their employees. It was very much a family built loyal environment.

    Cons

It was unfortunate that they CEO decided to move the administration office offshore which caused a lot of layoffs. However, in doing that I got a great opportunity in supporting and training the transition over the last 3 years. I have added so much value to my resume portfolio.

I worked at Xerox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice co workers. Great training. Good learning experience for customer service.

    Cons

Bed bugs. Low pay. Minimal breaks. High stress.

    Advice to Management

My supervisor was great but the company kinda sucks. Not the worst call center job and probably wouldn't have been as bad if it wasn't for the bed bug problem. I am lucky I didn't bring any home but it made me crazy and stressed always worrying if I had any bugs on me.

    I worked at Xerox full-time

    Pros

Worked with some really great people, GM was amazing, and plenty of food options for lunch.

    Cons

The bad employees were BAD, some were kinda scary, Apple had all the fun while US Cellular was strict. Policies and handle times would change constantly and things just got worse and worse as I worked there.

    Advice to Management

I know it's not Xerox's fault for the handle time changes, per se. It was more of a US Cellular idea. So honestly, I'd just say that it was USCCs fault all along and that the managers really tried to work with what they were given. So kudos to them.

I worked at Xerox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great if you're desperate for anything.

Minimum wage plus benefits. See cons.

Room for growth as long as you're will to sell your soul.

    Cons

You're nothing but a number to them.

Their entire business model is based on employee turnover to ensure you never last long enough to be eligible for benefits.

The bonus system is structured like Vegas. The house always wins.

You have to request a day off weeks in advance. So don't expect any leniency.
