    I have been working at Xerox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Ability to further career through independent learning provided online by Xerox.
    Working independently (no micromanaging).
    Relaxed atmosphere and dress code (at least in my department).
    Work from home when necessary or due to inclement weather.

    Cons

    Little communication from above.
    Directly affected by Xerox split - Department downsized and sent off shore.
    Little recognition for hard work unless you find yourself with really good bosses who reward you through their own personal means.

    Pros

    Local management does their best to go above and beyond in order to make up for upper management, decent salary, ability to work from home if allowed, lots of holidays.

    Cons

    Upper management is clueless, sales is just as bad, they will outsource your position just to save money, they don't care about employees or clients at all, benefits are horrible, only option for health is high deducible and dental barely covers a cleaning.

    Advice to Management

    A business can't be a business without customers. Stop throwing money making programs down the tubes by outsourcing the jobs and causing the customers to cancel.

    Pros

    Greatest people to work with; everybody is a team player, everyone listens, pitches in to make the project run smoothly

    Cons

    Xerox is a Technology company not a services company as has been borne out. Management from the CEO on down several levels do not know how to run a company. Money was taken from technology every year to feed services. Budgets were cut yearly, with no consistent new product development. There are no 3-5 year plans, only 1-year plans. This summer there will be a lot more people laid off.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new board, do not let current CEO be part of the board

    I've worked there 15 years

    Cons

    Management keeps trying to improve the company but the plans aren't working. Now they are splitting the company, but there are rumors of more changes than that. Also, my group is very anti-social. Nobody talks to anyone. The management is fostering favoritism and a bully.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new CEO before we go bankrupt.

    Great starting salaries (that you'll be stuck at)

    Poor company culture, not enough opportunity to advance, initial training/on-boarding practically non-existant

    Get a paycheck. Little oversight in what I do.

    Horrible morale caused by years of senior mismanagement. No concept of pay for performance. 9 years without a raise.

    Pros

    Stable pay.
    A lot of overtime.
    Good and friendly co-workers.
    Great environment to be a stepping stool for your next career or advancement in the company.
    Sometimes it feels good to help that one customer in need.

    Cons

    Average call center environment with favoritism and high metric standards. Very management has little concern over your employment, it's a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

    Avoid using policies to hide behind when your personal feelings are involved. And actually try to retain some of the staff that you hire.
