I have been working at Xignite full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Culture in the office is great, people are constantly engaged and communicating. Sometimes I don't even feel like I'm working because I have so much fun in my role. Currently on the sales team, we have an amazing tech team as well!

    Cons

Not much here. Being a small company there are certainly idiosyncrasies. Overall a very positive experience thus far.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Xignite full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have full control over projects and get to work with many different teams within the company. Fast growing and everyone is fun to be around.

    Cons

Lots of work on everyone's plate with no shortage of projects to work on. Very good if you like to keep busy and have a lot of impact on the bottom line.

    Advice to Management

Management should keep on hiring and growing the team as our client base grows with us.

I have been working at Xignite full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some employees are hard working. Good first job as there is little clear definition of roles and accountability so you would get lots of varied experiences. The management has tried and struggled to define cultures and values that are meaningful, but at least they are trying.

    Cons

Struggling to define the growth path of the company
Management has been doing it so long in a vacuum they have lost perspective on what a healthy growing company looks like.
Many co-workers phoning in their efforts on the job (including senior management) which creates a bad the work ethic which is very sporadic across the organization.
Biggest issue is that sales are transactional and the product is a commodity so it is hard to differentiate so cost is the only place to stand apart from the competition.

    Advice to Management

Hire a stronger management team that is driven to help the organization grow and challenge the people to work harder and smarter. Use the tools in place more effectively and efficiently and recognize when you have a bad seed in the organization and deal with it rapidly.

    Pros

If you live to San mateo or work remotely then its a easy company to work for - There are some good and talented individual employees especially in engineering, product management and sales but lack of vision has hurt this company.

    Cons

too many - incompentent leadrship. Commodity low margin transactional web services. Enterprise solution mostly a give away. Ample opportunity to slack if you buddy buddy with incompetent leaders. No Vision by leadership.

    Pros

    - Small company so changes you'd recommend are definitely heard and have a great chance of being implemented
    - Great market potential since main competitors' technology isn't flexible
    - CEO is fair and an expert in the financial services industry
    - web services plays huge in the current "cloud computing" topics

    Cons

    - mainly transactional sales
    - the product isn't "hot" like CRM or enterprise social networking
    - product can be "commoditized"
    - b/c it's small, longevity in current economic climate could be a factor (as w/any small start-up)

    Advice to Management

somehow make the product more "sexy"???

I have been working at Xignite full-time

    Pros

Having a enjoyable place to work is clearly a priority with lots of off sites and parties as well as a more casual atmosphere at work

    Cons

Politics with management are pretty bad for such a small company
No direction with what the company actually wants to do
No room for growth within company

    Advice to Management

Do one thing well and do more to retain your employees.
