Working in projects, doesn't really allows you to have a 9 to 5 job, but it is very rewarding!

Advice to Management

Keep trying to maintain that "small company" feel and the company wide events. It's how I met a few good people who ended up becoming friends. Do focus on growing the brand outside of Portugal. I believe a lot of people would like working based outside of Portugal or partially based. I am particularly thankful for a certain period where things could have gone bad, due to misundertandings with the client and the... management stood by me. I felt appreciated.

Cons

Strict Minimum 8h work day. You have to develop with only 1 screen. Deliverable production estimations are stipulated by the customer and senior project manager, developers are never involved. Very bad pay.

Advice to Management

Software Engineering is like painting, it's an art and creative work, you should be more flexible to your employees regarding work-time. You should provide all your Developers with at least 2 screens (It is proven that it boosts productivity by 80%+) You should treat people better, not as means to achieve goals. You should give some recognition to your employees, a simple tap in the back and stating that a "Good... Job" has been made is a simple gesture and you have no idea how much that boosts morale and productivity.

Pros

The office is well located, with good parking. The work done is normally very interesting, working for big and known companies that impress when we tell our friends what we do.

Cons

Not everyone is as competent as they should be. Pay is not very good.
