I have been working at Xtreme Labs full-time

    Pros

Working at Xtreme Labs has allowed me to learn multiple mobile platforms. I have helped lead mobile projects, giving me the learning experience to see a mobile project come together from inception. There is tons of opportunity to learn new technologies, positions and career paths within the company.

    Cons

Pair programming takes getting used to. Now I am all for pair programming. When you start, you get thrown right into the deep end which can be a bit scary for junior developers.

    Advice to Management

Maintain the corporate culture as we scale

    Pros

Fun environment, a lot of smart fun people
Work-life balance, overtime if needed is rewarded
    Agile and efficient

    Cons

You could be type cast to a particular technology stack with little chance of picking up new technologies unless yo take it upon yourself on your own time

    Advice to Management

Not all projects fit the agile / extreme programming approach

I have been working at Xtreme Labs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Chance to learn so many different things i.e. platforms, languages
Benefits are very good (except vacation).
People are very nice. Everybody seems like love what he\she is doing
Awesome tools. 27' iMac, mac pro retina, air, aeron chairs ... you name it
    Company grows very fast

    Cons

Space. But that is addressed already. Going to move to a way bigger place.
Pair programming. Depends on how senior you are. For people just come in this industry, that is perfect for them to learn things under somebody's shadowing. For senior ones, it might be uncomfortable. But they should never pair two seniors together (at lease they are trying not to), unless there is tough piece of work.
Salary. Because of all pros above, they can sometimes (AFAIK) get talented people with less price than others.
Wish they could have 15 days of vacation ...

I have been working at Xtreme Labs full-time

    Pros

    - Always working on large and very visible parts of high quality and high value projects
    - Great culture, lots of perks at work and after-hours
    - Really smart co-workers, who know whats what and can provide help and guidance
    - Excellent location

    Cons

    - Pair programming isn't for everyone, especially if you get a pair who you can't get along with, or you're a major introvert.
    - Lots of work. You WILL be working hard at XL, no room for coasting along.
    - Offices are over-crowded and temperature rises a lot in the summer. Hopefully moving to a bigger location soon.

    Advice to Management

Compensation is a bit on the low end for the industry. Performance bonuses should be a more consistent thing, especially for big projects.
