I worked at Xtreme Lashes full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people you work with become your friends. Long hours, long meetings, and long project timelines helps create a close bond.

    Cons

No work life balance. There is such a high turnover. They fire people constantly. The office is dirty and upper management is very unprofessional. Projects never get completed. They have you test products over and over again for no reason. They don’t care for your opinions. Everybody is always on edge. I dreaded going in everyday I worked there.

    Advice to Management

Trust your team. You hired them to do a job. Don’t have such long meetings that last 6+ hours. Clean the offices regularly.

I worked at Xtreme Lashes full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People are nice & willing to help you learn what you want / need to learn - it’s a good place for interns. Free snacks?

    Cons

Low morale, negative energy. Micromanaging at its finest! Management is involved in everything and doesn’t trust employees to do their job - which they were hired for in the first place. Everyond thinks they know everything even if they don’t work in your department. Lack of trust - again, employees don’t do the job they’re hired to do in the first place. Lack of respect and sense of time - meetings constantly...

    Advice to Management

Many reviews on here have been essentially the same, things are still the same. ADVICE TO FUTURE / POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES? they seem nice at first glance but once you get into the work itself it’s stressful. know your worth professionally because there’s a lot of opportunities out there. I would also trust the reviews, but don’t be fooled by the ones with 5 stars because they do ask employees internally to write good...

I worked at Xtreme Lashes full-time

    Pros

    - The people - Free snacks

    Cons

    - Low compensation. They will milk you and underpay you. - Benefits aren't that great. - Snacks are alright. - Upper-management, specially C-Suite (CEO) is pretty set in their ways and it hinders the company from making any progress. - Meetings happen too often and they last forever. Not only will you be in a meeting for 3 hours, but you'll probably get nothing accomplished once it's over and will have to have another...

    Advice to Management

Any advice won't be heard by upper management as they seem to believe that things are being run smoothly despite the high employee turnover and low morale.

I worked at Xtreme Lashes full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free snacks, and sorry, I can't think of anything else.

    Cons

Several members of C-suite are not qualified for their positions -- many were appointed because they are family. Top leadership micromanages every aspect of the business (meeting after meeting after meeting, smartsheet after smartsheet after smartsheet). There is no work/life balance -- staff is expected to work late nights and weekends to make up for the poor management of time among leadership.

    Advice to Management

This company needs to understand the value of a work/life balance. They will lose skilled talent to other firms that have embraced this tenet. Trust your employees to do good work. It will lead to profits and better talent.

I worked at Xtreme Lashes full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I made some lifelong friends I learned that I will never work for a family-owned business ever again.

    Cons

Where do I begin. If you chose to work for this company, you will hear stories of empowerment and enriching lives...don't believe a word you hear. The "empowerment" and "enrichment" is only for the "inner circle". This company is like high school. Lots of cliques and gossiping. If you are ok with having no work/life balance, then this is the company for you. You will receive phone calls and text messages at...

    Advice to Management

It's time to take a step back and really evaluate what is wrong with the company. High turnover should not be ignored, and archaic business practices need to change immediately if you plan on succeeding. You can not be a global leader until you actually start acting like one.
