I have been working at YESCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment, most people are friendly. Family owned company.

    Cons

Not very up to date with their policies and technology.

    Advice to Management

Have better communication between managers and employees.

I worked at YESCO full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

YESCO has a very creative environment where there multiple types of creative projects to work. It could custom sign design, slot design and custom exterior sign projects. You never lacked for variety or excitement.

    Cons

The only thing I can say negatively is that the sign market can be fickle financially. They were tied to the casino market in Vegas. Also, they was very little room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Provide opportunities for advancement and forecast trends in the marketplace.

I worked at YESCO full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This was a great place to work. The people were respectful. They cared about producing a quality product and continuously improved upon it to make sure that it was one of the best on the market. They had good equipment and gave us the opportunity to learn about it, even sent me and a few others to New York and Chicago to the manufacturers to learn about the maintenance and repair of the machines.

    Cons

The nepotism is horrible! Good luck getting any kind of promotion there unless you are a relative of someone in upper management or in corporate. I have seen a few cases when someone was promoted when they had no clue what they were doing and somehow, they continued to work there in that position.

    Advice to Management

I know it's a "family" business, but the practice of nepotism has to stop! Just because your nephew or son needs a job, that's not a reason to hire them for a supervisor, manager, or vice president.

    Cons

definitely not a judgement free zone, a lot of talking behind other people's backs

Keep doing what you are doing, just be more open to changes and accepting modern working norms.

Bring back incentive trips and company picnics/partys. Employees like knowing they are appreciated.
