    Staff was very helpful and made it a comfortable environment for the children and myself to as questions and learn

    As a work study student I was only able to experience working in two after school classrooms

    Beautiful scenery, fun work environment, opportunity to meet people from all over the world

    Cons

    The employee cafeteria is not stellar and neither are the employee dorms

    Prioritize the employee experience along with the patron experience

    Not enough pay. However, it's a non-profit so it's understandable.

    Help refuges immigrants and other vulnerable populations to advance their economic independence, social integration and civic participation. The Y helps newcomers restore hope, build stability, create opportunity and change future.

    Cons

    Being in touch with others' pain, being a witness to the psycho-social impact of repression, abuse, intolerance and discrimination in innocent people

    You get to work in nature and the job in general is fun and lax.

    Mandatory 6 days a week during the summer in terms of working. Paid under minimum wage (legally)
