    Pros

A lot of fantastic benefits such as free food and a work phone. Fantastic colleagues. There is an attempt at transparency with weekly global all hands where confidential info that can be shared is disseminated.

    Cons

The UK has zero autonomy. All decisions come down the U.S. Mountain. There are also some truly dire, borderline incompetent managers that have been there 10+ years. It's a kiss-arse boys club culture.

    Advice to Management

For once actually do something with the YEES survey. Create a culture of self-criticism and customer service rather than self-promotion at all costs.

    Pros

Brand is very well known, great people and some very good (well one) snr management.

    Cons

directionless, poor middle management, little benefit

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees and stop promoting people who suck up

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Interesting international opportunities and the chance to work on some interesting project. Generally a relaxed environment and nice co-workers.

    Cons

Talent has left the company in droves recently. It's not clear where senior management wants to take the company and what business Yahoo is in. There's very little innovative thinking left at the company and people are less willing to take risks. Corporate mentality has set in.

    Advice to Management

    Focus attention and innovate.

    Pros

Yahoo! is a diverse business and if you make the effort you can learn a lot.

It has some really smart people. Generally, people are very respectful of one another.

    Cons

Matrix organisation which gets worse in Europe.
Very political and the wrong people are promoted.
Management does not make hard decisions about people. They keep people who are mediocre for too long. That is why they are in such a mess now.

    Advice to Management

Work much quicker. Stop being wishy-washy. Create a strategy and then let the smart people below to develop and implement a tactical plan
