    Pros

Decent pay, hours are available for overtime usually, and cool coworkers.

    Cons

Bad management, department feels disconnected from the rest of yale, and it’s very disorganized.

    Advice to Management

Promote people from within the department who know the job already to management positions, rather than outsourcing.

I have been working at Yale New Haven Hospital full-time

    Pros

Benefits, Job Security, Opportunities,Some great managers, Locations

    Cons

Low pay compared to competing employers
    Cost of Benefits
Barriers due to lack of experience to be promoted
    Employee appreciation/recognition has decreased

    Advice to Management

It should be taken into consideration that current employees should not be disqualified by HR for certain openings when they have the education and clearly have been working for YNHH for years. Benefits cost too, especially when we have to use the facility we work for. So many benefits have been taken away or increased in cost, while compensation has not gone up.

I have been working at Yale New Haven Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay and benefits . Can cash in PTO.

    Cons

Workload is not distributed equally. No training and expected to adapt to the culture immediately. All processes are manual and communication is non-existent- unless you are part of the click. Absolutely not a team environment. People purposely pretend not to know things so they don’t have to help train you.
Management openly talks about pushing people out that they don’t like. HR should have a better handle on leaderships greed and abusive behavior.. What comes around goes around. You are losing good-hard working people...

    Advice to Management

You are not untouchable. People know what you are doing -we’re not stupid.
