    Pros

Amazing connections to brilliant people, doing innovative work. Very humbling experience. I don't think i could have succeeded anywhere else..

    Cons

New Haven is insanely expensive because landlords know they have a captive student population that keeps returning to the university year after year.

    Pros

Nice job to have on the side. Supportive faculty, and important research

    Cons

The job is, at times, a bit tedious. As I advance from data gathering and into data analysis, it should be more interesting

I have been working at Yale University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Yale employment is flexible for students. Time cards and hours are entered online. Payment by direct deposit is easy.

    Cons

Jobs can be very structured and supervisors are not always open to creativity or independent thought. This can be frustrating for people who would like to improve workflows.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee concerns about getting to work in bad weather, parking, or making it to doctors appointments.
