I have been working at Yandex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - huge project with challenging environment
    - opportunity to make yourself comfortable with analytics, big data, experimenting on users' behaviours at large scale where hundreds of thousands of visitors is nothing but a tiny fraction, that isn't even representative
    - a chance to work with extremely diversified team: multiple backends, multiple integrations, huge infrastructure
    - great for internship and a great source of experience in general
    - work alongside with creators of BEM :)

    Cons

    - work/life balance is not the best in the industry, to make it somewhere above the average, you'd have to work a lot
    - the main project is extremely inert to changes, both from a processes perspective and from the technological one

I worked at Yandex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good overall compenation if you are distinguished engeneer.

    Cons

Some managers got their high positions only because they spent 10+ years in the company and very afraid to loose the position. That's why they try not to allow really ambitios people to play important roles. It's relevant at least for busness units.

    Advice to Management

Take care how many awsome people left the company
