    Pros

    • Great leadership team
    • The culture is very customer service oriented allowing employees to use their "do what is best for the client" compass to guide them to make successful decisions that are agreeable for all parties.
    • You have the opportunity to increase responsibility and ownership in your role by showing improvement in your areas of focus, exemplifying teamwork, and building trust. If you are a self-starter you will be successful.
    • The service offering of Product and Customer Service leads the space with great value.
    • Wonderful work / life balance.

    Cons

    Opportunities:
    • Additional operational synergies and communication within the multi-discipline teams could improve the customer experience.
    • More training and guidance certifications for internal teams and clients are needed.

    Pros

The field of interactive marketing is an exciting one and there is a lot of high energy here in the company with great camaraderie. Management style is highly collaborative and hands off. You are trusted to know your stuff and are given free hand to do it.

Yesmail expects its employees to perform - that's why they are hired in the first place. Management does a pretty good job of culling dead weight. This means that those that work here aren't shouldered with the burden of taking on the extra work left by lazy co-workers.

    Cons

The health care package is absolutely abysmal - but that's the fault of the parent company, infoGROUP. High deductible ($4000 per year!!), high monthly premium, and you pay FULL PRICE on all prescription drugs *until* you hit your yearly deductible.

The 401k plan is ridiculous too - but what do you expect from the same team at infoGROUP that brings you the health care package? All the funds included in the plan are the worst performers in their class.

    Advice to Management

Yesmail is moving full speed ahead regardless of the parent company. Keep putting the pedal to the metal. Stay aggressive, stay enthusiastic, and keep rewarding your employees for the hard work they do.

    Pros

Laid back, decent people to work with.

    Cons

Lots of past turnover has contributed to a level of distrust.

    Advice to Management

Let the people do their jobs, you have people here working for you who really love the company.

    Pros

Work life balance is maximized. People are very willing to help at any time, even with things outside their scope.

    Cons

Overly complex process for simple things. Gate keepers keep things complex.

    Advice to Management

Straighten out an extremely complex process. Too many steps to get anything done. Automate, automate, automate! Use the computers to their fullest potential so the employees can help implement positive changes instead of just following complex procedures to get something simple accomplished.

Committed to Client Success from the top to bottom of the organization.

    Cons

Fast paced - can be challenging to keep up with technology and competitive landscape.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in the people, technology and infrastructure!

    Pros

Solid organization with good growth prospects.

    Cons

    infoUSA benefits package needs improvement.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, other than getting better benefits (health/medical) than infoUSA currently offers.

    Pros

If it wasn't for the team I worked with, I would have left much earlier. Learn to handle a lot of responsibilities in a short amount of time. Fast pace.

    Cons

Not appreciated by management or rewarded. Only time that they give you a raise is if you show them an offer letter.

    Advice to Management

Hire from the bottom up. Email managers do a lot of work so stop underpaying them and trying to hire cheap!
