Pros
Free lunch and dinner and pizza and beer Fridays!
Cons
No work life balance- expect you to be glued to your computer answering emails all weekend. Ridiculously obsessed with having pointless weekly meetings especially the Finance dept. no wonder these people work till 9pm every night because they waste their time in meaningless meetings all day. No appreciation from management. They only know to point out the bad in your work. Rude and disrespectful executives. They pass you in the hall and don’t even acknowledge your presence. HR is a joke. They do and know absolutely nothing. Mind you there are like 20 of them and not one of them knows anything. They don’t help you out, on the contrary, they are there to screw you over. Avoid this company or else you’ll regret it.

Pros
Work is interesting, pay is good, people are smart
Cons
work life balance can be tough sometimes
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Yext has by far been the best company that I have ever worked for and I have been in the work force for almost 20 years. They are extremely flexible with letting employees work remotely which helps tremendously with having an actual work/life balance while still getting your work done. They also provide employees with excellent benefits.
Cons
I don't know know of any.

Engineering org in free fall. Leadership shuffle likely too late to save the company.
Apr 21, 2022 - Software Engineer in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
New offices Good people Social culture, friendly coworkers Good work life balance
Cons
The company is in free fall, with the stock price at the lowest levels it has ever been, and people are running for the doors. Virtually no internal transparency. Engineering comp is not competitive with changes in market rates after the start of covid. Poor decision making and unclear product vision. Founder CEO exited spontaneously, potentially ousted, after almost a year of the company not performing up to expectations. The new CEO transition likely happened too late. It was obvious some major changes were needed for almost a year before it happened, and leadership did NOT address any of these concerns. Engineering culture has historically been excellent, but strong performers have been exiting in droves for almost a year now and leadership is not addressing it or doing anything to fix it. Other departments aren't held accountable for not doing their jobs, e.g. IT/Desktop and Facilities. Many seem to be doing the bare minimum in their jobs and lack any passion they once had. Diversity and inclusion efforts are a joke. Yext does not care about changing its processes to hire diverse candidates and that's incredibly obvious from looking at the dismal percentage of women and people of color hired in technology. People trying to fix this culture are not receiving support from leadership.

Pros
- new office is really nice and is well-stocked with food/beverages - decent work/life balance
Cons
- Yext has been through many leadership changes this year and does not yet seem to have a clear plan on how to move forward - senior management has their favorites and only those chosen few have a solid career advancement path
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Great engineering culture
