      If you want sales/cold calling experience then give it a shot because they will hire you.

      Pros

      - The free lunch is decent. The lunch lady recycles about a dozen different entrees and they are reasonably made for being cafeteria food. Sometimes it's best just to get the grilled chicken though. The salad is bar is also fresh so that's good. - The bathrooms are surprisingly clean. They have this repair man that always keeps up with reparations around the office. - There is plenty of transparency. You are given a fair chance to reach goals and they will give you a heads up as to when you will get fired if your aren't being consistent. - Web.com is bringing some better, less hated products to the table.

      Cons

      - People usually quit before they are fired. About 20% of the people they hire find some success. After 7 months of being there I was the longest serving employee (apart from my manager) on my team. - High pressure sales with a very mediocre product. The Yodle product is hard to believe in as it has not been updated in years and doesn't perform as prommised. - Clients churn all the time and you have to pay back your commission on those sales. Those who are very successful (because they pressure sell and get fed leads) end up having to work just to pay back their commission. - It get's boring when you aren't selling. - Unless you are a top performer who gets fed leads you probably won't be making much more than $35k-$40k per year.

      Pros

      They have a very extensive training program that last ruffly a month. Most people are friend and the managers are very knowledgeable. You get a base salary on top of commission. They do a great job on providing additional training to develop your product expertise as well as s a lot of segment training. They provide a free lunch with a decent menu and always have a salad bar. They have happy hour after work every Friday and the atmosphere is always upbeat.

      Cons

      Cold calling. Its a two call close witch means you have to set up an appointment with the customer so you can do a presentation online with them. If you dont meet your sales goals more than two months in a row you are gone or not showing enough effort. You have to typically work more than 8 hours and be there 6 days a week for you to be able to make it. Your not provided with the best equipment to do your job so sometimes customers can hear your co-works or managers parrioting you.It is better if you buy your own headset but a good cost a few hundred bucks. You have to source your own leads otherwise you get some pretty burnt or crappy leads.

      Pros

      Let me start off by saying there is a difference between 'Sales Representative' & 'Sales Development Representative': - If you're looking for a career in sales, this place will toughen you up - Co-workers are great & everyone is approachable(including the CEO) - Free lunch everyday - Everything is electronic & easy to use - Management is great and really want to help, so don't be afraid to ask them anything - If you succeed and enjoy being an SDR at Yodle, you should do well at any inside sales job - Happy hour every Friday

      Cons

      - As an SDR your sole duty is calling 90-100 small/medium sized businesses a day using a list given to you at the beginning of the day - Since so many SDR employees call 90-100, high-earning sectors become saturated and run out quicker than other sectors - You set appointments for the sales reps and never close the deal - Building a relationship with a customer is useless since you'll never talk to them again once the deal is completed - You're taught 70-80% of the product (that's for the sales reps to know) - Structured 15 minute breaks everyday the day - Not as stressful as being a sales rep (that's not top 25 in the company), but still very stressful - REALLY high turnover - Base pay is very low - In the end, your commission is based on the sales rep closing the deal

      Cool Place to Work but Did not Believe in Product

      Pros

      Great Atmosphere. Loud Music kept an upbeat feeling. Free Lunches and Game Room. Commission was great. Training was very thorough. This is a good place for recent college grads to get some work experience.

      Cons

      Micromanaged to the minute on the phones. Very Strict Sales Quota. Felt like I was in High School and needed permission for Bathroom break. Had access to view how the clients I sold were doing and not too many were getting any leads. Making a single Real Estate Agent think they can get to 1st page of an organic google search using an "adversite" is a straight up lie in most markets. They had a close em or burn em attitude about the small business which is a total turnoff (think high pressure car sales or ), it did not fit my personality. Super Low base salary. If you went two weeks with out a sale you are eating Ramen for dinner.

      Pros

      Weekends off, free lunch, great work environment. The managers/executive staff interact with everyone in the building - even the cleaning service! There is SO much room for internal movement, whether lateral or upward. You have plenty of opportunities to switch departments/teams, as long as you prove you are able to take on tasks. This company is ever-changing: new products/features, procedures, etc; so make sure to be constantly up to date with everything. This is definitely not a company for those who like to cut corners.

      Cons

      No 401k matching. I've saved up quite a bit without it; I can only imagine what it'd be like WITH matching! There is a disconnect between Customer Service and Sales; a lot of the time Sales is pushed SO HARD to close, that they don't provide the right expectation for the client, and Client Services has to fix it down the road. Parking is also horrible, but I know they are working on it.

      Pros

      Good money can be made. Commission payout if fairly high when you make a sale. They give you free lunch, crapy, but free non the less. Friday happy hour, again with the cheap beer and box wine, but free.

      Cons

      They tell you to "challenge authority" yet when you do, you get in trouble. Not, a place where you can be creative and grow or help grow. This is a place where you go in and do what you're told and clock out. Not for me, but some people seem to love it, or they're just kissing a lot of butt.

      Pros

      Great environment and culture; met some of the best people working here; free lunches; happy hours; team outings.

      Cons

      Lack of growth - if you want to switch departments to try and grow within the company, you have to wait for someone else in that department to get promoted to even have the chance to apply. Not in good standing? Forget about applying to anything else, even if that position has nothing to do with sales. Pay - Upper management says the base salary is so low to encourage employees to work harder. However, just because you work as hard as you possibly can, doesn't mean you will see the results you want when it comes to pay. It's a numbers game. The person next to you can be putting in less time and effort, yet their paycheck can be significantly more.

      Pros

      Free Lunch every day and Happy Hour every week. Very flat structure, you can just walk up and talk to a VP or Regional Manager (or CEO) and talk with them. Meritocracy; if you excel, you will be moved into a more responsible position; they are very good (in my opinion) at finding a good fit for employees.

      Cons

      Company is a sales organization at heart, if you are very quiet and reserved then it may be overwhelming. Company is growing quickly so it's hard to know everyone's name. You have to bust your a** to excel, but competitive spirit is tempered by a lot of team/company pride as well.
