I worked at Yogurt Mountain part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Relatively low key, pleasant atmosphere. Fun, at times.

    Cons

Dealing with over zealous free samplers and chasing after thieves gets old after a while. It seems like a silly job so 85% of your coworkers will be under motivated, won't actually complete their daily tasks because they think that this job is beneath them.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to fire employees who aren't pulling their weight.

I worked at Yogurt Mountain part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Laid back environment. Great for maybe a high school student who plays sports and so he/she can’t come in as soon as school is over with.

    Cons

Pay is low and you don’t get a lot of hours. Also, because the staff was so small it was hard to get days off.

    Advice to Management

Possibly consider getting more people in there to help out.

I worked at Yogurt Mountain full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

WAS a great place to work until David Kahn stepped down and Books a Million bought up controlling interests. They took all the fun out of a "high energy" and fun place to work.

    Cons

With new corporate takeover, the job is unbearable. GM's get very LOW pay and are constantly constricted with more labor cuts. They do not offer competitive wages, for management, shift leaders or crew. New procedures are ridiculous and add much "busy work" to an already loaded schedule. I was SO happy to leave.

    Advice to Management

Stop sucking your employees dry and pay a decent wage for the work you demand. You took caring people and reduced them to numbers. No room for advancement.
