    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Yoh full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Former leadership prior to 2014 was phenomenal.
GE clients cared about growth and you as a person
Staffing team itself was eager, well unified and a pleasure to work with

    Cons

Promotions given to others based on sex and not skill set or posting the role,
Escalations to Sr. management (directors and VPs) did nothing, did not care about your own growth, just as long as you did what they said. Empty promises.
Had no voice for teams you supported, which was bad reflection on you as a leader
Not allowed to differ in opinions with Sr. management, their way or no way
Limited with recognition on what you can do for your teams (all about more money for Yoh)
Sr. Management and client always butted heads, Yoh Sr. Management didn't stick up for teams, didn't care about the client and didn't have a clue what their teams actually did. Talked poorly about client and didn't listen to what they needed, no value add for ideas, improvements or enhancements to keep customer happy.

    Advice to Management

Follow through with your employees when they need you, show them they are not just a number, appreciate them, offer real leadership. Remove the egos...care about growing your teams and listen to your clients.

I worked at Yoh full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pros for a recruiter position at Yoh are few: work flexibility can be offered once an employee has had success and the compensation from commissions can be excellent if you fulfill roles for an enterprise client for several years, having built up a long term base of consultants.

    Cons

Unfortunately the cons as a recruiter are numerous: unreasonable metrics, high pressure environment devoted to sending over candidates with speed instead of quality, account managers who are allowed to play favorites with their recruiters, antiquated tools, lack of appreciation for any 'outside the box' suggestions and zero budget for morale events.

    Advice to Management

1.) Have a close look at the very high level of attrition throughout the company and consider why Yoh is considered just a revolving door for your internal talent.
2.) Do not allow high performing account managers to play favorites with recruiters or with placements.
3.) Look beyond just evaluating your employees on numbers attained but also on what they can bring to your company with fresh ideas on projects and employee resource groups.
4.) Follow up on issues such as compensation problems for consultants: your consultants are your lifeblood and having a blase attitude if they have a delayed paycheck is not acceptable.
5.) Devote even a small sum for a morale event occasionally: not permitting any money to be spent on a holiday party after having closed a very successful quarter is just demoralizing.

    Pros

Collaboration and team work among peers is strong.

    Cons

Expectations and growth opportunities are vague. Leadership is detached and distant. Training is not provided even after requested.

    Advice to Management

Set clear expectations and career growth path. Build relationships with your team and ask for their input. Such a diverse group has great ideas. Follow through on training to ensure your team has all the tools to improve and progress forward.
