    No opinion of CEO

I worked at York Hospital part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed some of the staff, loved the docs, and the community that used its services

    Cons

Administration was unprofessional, wasnt sure about its own policies, promoted people based on their popularity and not their hard work, there was lots of favoritism, and cliques, racism and poor teamwork mainly in the nursing department of their emergency department.

    Advice to Management

They need to bone up on cultural diversity, and know more about their policies that dictate their practice before they can tun a department. It would also be helpful if they had a better understanding of their high turnover

I worked at York Hospital full-time

    Pros

    the jobs themselves were interesting.

    Cons

No accountability, constant backstabbing. The organization has no direction and it operates with threat and intimidation. Not loving kindness. People keep leaving and management wants you to keep taking on more and more. No appreciation, no matter how much you take on. As a healthcare institution, it operates in an unsafe manner.

    Advice to Management

Wouldn't waste my time. They wouldn't listen anyway.

    Pros

None with the current CEO or his leaders who have no knowledge of anything but saying yes to Jud.

    Cons

They open a walkin clinic with a pharmacy last March 2016 and then decide to close the pharmacy without any input from pharmacy staff.
CEO fails the hospital and its employees and now creates layoffs.
People left other employers to work for York Hospital and they never give the pharmacy or its employees a chance to make it work.
They compete with the hospital pharmacy which is stupid.
Pharmacy is under nursing which has absolutely no clue about retail pharmacy.
Board of directors has no input from employees because Jud Knox CEO wants it that way.
What a clown of a CEO who surrounds himself with team leaders who know absolutely nothing.
    Another York hospital failure...
    Nice job Jud.......
Hope the board reads this...l you do not care about the employees as it's clear and nor do you consult with staff at the pharmacy about anything.
    You are a clown......

    Advice to Management

Advice to the Biard is get rid of Jud Knix and his Team leaders before the hospital sinks.

I have been working at York Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

you are guaranteed to lose some type of compensation or benefit each year employed.
No layoff policy only reduced hrs.

    Cons

Little to no raises and always cutting back. Poor management expanded too much now having financial difficulties, staff deals with it. Boys club management very political.
