I worked at Young & Rubicam

    Pros

Great people, laid back and creative vibes. Pays well, and invoices are processed and paid out quickly. And the location right by Central Park is nice!

    Cons

As a freelancer, jobs occasionally came in at the last minute, but this is more a description of freelance than a particular problem with Y&R. Occasional invoice discrepancies, but these were quickly remedied.

I worked at Young & Rubicam for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people. Good location. Reasonable account and creative resources for client workload.

    Cons

Not a ton of new biz coming back in 2010/2011, so advancement and/or movement, at the time, was tough.

I have been working at Young & Rubicam full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people that made it fun to come to work; good chemistry across teams; new building is nice; recommended agency to learn the fundamentals if you are new to advertising; work life balance is great with occasional pitch craze that could keep you there late/over the weekend (but not the norm comparatively)

    Cons

Many of the clients are older brands so the agency struggles to push the work forward; not a lot of client growth and its hard to get a salary increase; pay is not competitive; at times, politics feel like they are more of a focus than the actual work
