Pros
Yume as a company is good with healthy work environment. You will get a chance to work & learn with really talented people. Also you are assured to get a challenging work in this company.
Cons
As every product company, designation hierarchy is flat so people from consulting background find it difficult

Pros
Yume USA is a good company to work for...
Cons
But here is an honest description of Yume India ... first of all the management is third grade, no decency, looks for ways to turn people against each other, management SOWS politics within the office, management encourages gossip. The India top guy has asked me to come and tell him things confidentially many a times, so i can go and poison his ears with whatever I want. And thats how he takes decisions. He does not understand engineering, operations, nothing. All he knows is porbbaly running a coimbatore mill shop. Thats his background. Just like many other reviewers, preference is given if you are from coimbatore... whether you perform or not they will pay you well if you are from that place... The receptionist for example will keep a tab of who is going for a cup of coffee with whom, what where they talking about, when did they go etc.. and reports it back to the India head. I have seen her do this myself. :) I mean seriously he is that insecure

Pros
Some people are cool to work with. Catered lunches on Wednesday.
Cons
No communication, lack of caring about employees, no coordination. Management does a very poor job in retaining good employees. Politics and power struggles make some teams very dysfunctional. Training and professional development are almost non existent. Work life balance is rough if you're the Senior guy - turn over rate at YuMe is high which means you'll quickly be the one with the most tribal knowledge. This means you'll be doing more work.
