    I worked at ZAP part-time

    Pros

Inspiring environment to work in, always something happening, close working relationship with management. Members of the gyms are extremely happy and easy to look after.

    Cons

there really are on cons to working for Zap fitness. You get access to all the gyms free of charge and the team members are great.

    Advice to Management

Keep expanding, provide ongoing training and check in with gyms weekly. All round, nothing much that needs to be altered.

I worked at ZAP as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Well, Santa Rosa is nice . . . has some decent burrito shops and a bike path. Zap HQ is in prime location (until landlord kicks them out).

    Cons

Disorganized, broke, criminal past (and present?) of hoodlums and thieves, . . . disinterested or incapable leadership, void of resources (financial, technical, administrative) . . .

    Advice to Management

Define the company identity; focus, follow-through. Take on targets you can actually achieve, or at least believe you have an idea about how to achieve.

    I worked at ZAP full-time

    Pros

A few of the people at ZAP WERE wonderfully talented and well intentioned.

    Cons

The company was run by crooks who only cared about day trading their stock. Therefore, the company didn't follow any traditional business rules regarding product quality, customer service, etc. It was a nightmare!

    Advice to Management

    Close the company.

    Pros

Well, it's certainly better than working at McDonald's, that's for sure.
Expect to get paid pretty decently if you're in sales/marketing.

    Cons

    Management isn't consistent.
Company focuses more on public relations and keeping stock prices up, vs. providing a quality product.
    Management is very inefficient.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on company development rather than stuffing your pocketbooks.
Pay your employees what they're actually worth, rather than taking advantage of them.
