    Negative Outlook

I worked at ZEISS Group full-time

    Pros

    1) You get to do something good for people since your work on medical instruments 2) It's slow-paced (also a con)

    Cons

    1) Engineers - If you want to work on cool stuff with hi-energy motived people, this is NOT the place for you. 2) If you enjoy some of the following, I am sure they are hiring: Low pay, no perks, low employee morale, very slow-paced, sh*t loads of stupid paperwork. 3) Very high turnover of people. 4) Because of the above, they aren't able to hire the smartest and brightest. So, you end up having to work... with people who have limited skills, interpersonal and technical - this includes management.

    Advice to Management

    1) You love your mundane & ridiculous protocols not your customers or the problems they are facing. 2) You'd rather have happy auditors than to have happy employees. 3) You'd rather get your paperwork right than to have your product.

NY corporate office is in shambles with low morale and high turnover. Major change in leadership from NY to CA - resulting in power struggles and lack of direction of business.talented people are having their talents wasted. petty power struggles by management is resulting... in conflicting priorities and paralysis of business. people are afraid for their jobs and will not speak up due to toxic work environment including retaliation by management. good people are heading for the exits resulting in impossible expectation of workload for remaining staff.

    Advice to Management

get the house in order in the USA. problems are caused by mismanagement and lack of focus. company is far from living the values it says it promotes. you are losing your valuable assets in key personnel which will in turn result in worsening customer experience, resulting in loss of once powerful business.
