I worked at ZF TRW full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Hat keinen Sinn, ignoriert jeden Ratschlag aus der Arbeitsebene. Realitätsferne und Vernunftresistenz gehören zu dem besonderen Anforerungsprofil für Manager und Direktoren bei ZF TRW BCS.

    Pros

A few nice people scattered about.

    Cons

ZF TRW Global Body Controls Division has a real arrogant and condescending leadership structure starting at the top down through the top level of sales.
Lack of technology, and vision from top management, who believe they are brilliant and clever, but in fact have done nothing to secure the future of the company.
No respect for the customer, as they are only focused on short term gains and not long term partnerships. They are an anchor to ZF TRW. Just do a google search and you will find out all you need to know about this division.
The work/life balance....not here!! Keep looking!!

    Advice to Management

Your reputation follows you, and word travels fast. I would suggest you take some personality classes. Respect your employees lives, even though you may think work is better than having a family.

I have been working at ZF TRW full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Interesting product line with a mix of driver interface switches and devices, global business with sites in North America, Europe, South America, and China.

    Cons

BCS is driven only by financial numbers and a ruthless desire to put profit ahead of people. The management team will not add the needed resources, so many people are working 10-12 + hour days on a regular basis and still falling farther and farther behind. BCS posted record profits in 2016 - the highest of any division in ZF -, but resources are not added and employees are not rewarded for their contributions. Only a small percentage are awarded the performance ratings needed to get the highest raises and bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Hire some people and reward the ones you have that are contributing. Recognize that it's the people that are helping to achieve the profits.

I worked at ZF TRW full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice green land around the office. Team members (below Team Leaders) are nice and friendly.

    Cons

Rubbish management. I can't find words. Unfair expectations all the time. They might think we are droids with mind reading senses. No feedback of the work we do. Only at the end they bring all blame on employees. Closed minded managers, don't even listen the employees thoughts, wishes, opinions. Seems they have a good strategy how to defend their-self in case of complaints.

They expect us to work like droids. Manager highlighted multiple times that the required work hour of the week is just the minimum, so was excepting more to work for free. Deadlines can't be met as starter (as nothing explained, no any training at all), but expected to know everything.

If some new ideas or complaint have been raised against the current processes then management become picky on employee and put more regulation on her/him and more unfair tasks, deadlines etc... that leads the employee to leave finally, otherwise her/his life become a horrible humiliating nightmare within company walls, day by day.

It's not a coincidence this company is losing customers one by one.

    Advice to Management

Go retirement, and let the good young people to lead, who are open minded and work TOGETHER with employees not humiliating and forcing them to leave because having different (better) idea.

I worked at ZF TRW full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay. This is the only pro while I was there. Absolute lousy place to work!

    Cons

Deplorable training, if you don't learn the job in two weeks minimum your gone. Burned out employees who don't want to train and they set you up for failure. Horrible managment (stupid is as stupid does).

    Advice to Management

This is for the Mesa, AZ facility. You cry about how you have such a high turnover and people leave after being there a month or two. NEWS FLASH you idiots, look in the damn mirror! You are the reason. You treat new employees like crap, hand them off to burned out current employees that don't want anything to do with you and set you up for failure. I have worked in manufacturing going on 34 years and this is the only company I have ever seen so desperate for people that you have a sign posted at the end of the street begging for employees. You fire everyone you bring in. Also I have never worked in a place where you have to be worried about being bit by rattle snakes and other critters. Yes rattle snakes seen climbing office cubical walls.

    Cons

They are slave drivers. No life work balance.
