Pros
Innovative healthcare company Lots of internal growth and movement
Cons
Mission, Vision, Values is still under construction
We are happy to share that the ZoomCare Mission, Vision and Values have been announced internally. It took a great deal of work and collaboration to develop these. We engaged ZoomCare employees from across the organization with questionnaires, workshops, focus groups and more. It took some time, but in the end we are enthused about our future and continue to be committed to innovating to deliver high-quality, convenient healthcare. ZoomCare is full of awesome, creative, respectful people who collaborate to get things done. We are so happy that you are part of the team- thanks for all you do!

Great pay for the work you do Great experience in phlebotomy without needing a certificate Meet amazing coworkers Great way to get experience/clinical hours if you are trying to become a provider
Cons
Very little support from higher-ups at times Management seems very fixated on finances Sometimes having retail managers in healthcare doesn't work
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Great coworkers classic corporate company
Dec 8, 2022 - ZoomCare Associate in Portland, ORRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Coworkers are great Providers are great to work with They train you to be a phlebotomist and eventually a medical assistant Really an awesome opportunity if you're willing to put your head down and get experience in a new field rolling with the punches.
Cons
Management doesn't do a good job of making changes quickly You can't get a straight response for problem-solving from them They get caught up in numbers and focus too much on the business side of things and consider the opinions of management more than the opinions of medical professionals Really just remember a lot of things like management trying to get us to pressure patients to sign up for wellness visits and get meds through zoomcare pharmacy.

Great co-workers, patient-focused company, good benefits
Cons
Not much if any work-life balance for mid-level workers; encouraged and expected to work long hours for the sake of the company despite lack of extra compensation.

Pros
Not a whole lot. It was somewhat interesting work.
Cons
Work really hard, pretty disorganized, get paid very little. Dangled promotions in front of me like a carrot but they never happened. So I left. Really glad I did. New career path is exponentially better.

Good coworkers, horrible management
Aug 19, 2022 - ZA Associate in Portland, ORRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
very few. good coworkers. Free healthcare but only if you use zoom care. 3.5 day workweek was nice but not so much if you have the second half of the week (Friday, Saturday)
Cons
basically what the headline says. Coworkers are smart, talented, incredible people. It's management and their ridiculous micromanagement and expectations of both Healthcare providers and the ZA Associates that constantly cause headaches, frustration, and eventual turnover. The moment you stand for something you don't like, is the moment management puts a target on your back. They will nitpick your clinic, appointments and almost anything they deem not good enough. Meanwhile as a ZA, we run the entire show in the clinic. We save them money by not hiring a true front desk associate. This position is a MEDICAL ASSISTANT, FACILITIES COORDINATOR, AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT rolled into one job. They should pay $25/hour for a job like this, and instead they will nickel and dime you and tell you why you don't deserve a raise when you worked your tail off all year.
