I have been working at Zacks Investment Research

    Pros

+kind of casual work attire +wish I could list one more

    Cons

-managers speak down to you or don’t acknowledge that you exist even if you carry a high level of importance in the company -walking into the office surrounded by hundreds of faces of people who hate their job -the marketing department is so dysfunctional they can’t even get their own IT team to cooperate -no promotions or bonuses ever. Your salary is your salary. -no employment care. To them you’re another hamster pushing the wheel.

I worked at Zacks Investment Research full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Zacks is a wonderful place to work, if you enjoy hammering the phones all day. Pure cold calling with zero opportunity for advancement. Upper management is clueless and doesn’t want the BDRs to make any money. Low pay and reduced commissions coupled with the ever growing “do not call list” makes a simple role unbearable. Note: Micromanagement is very abundant. Be very of cautious of this company.

I worked at Zacks Investment Research full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Minimal micromanagement Most of business development team are in their 20s Fair PTO, holiday, and sick day policy

    Cons

Business development team is spread randomly throughout the office Poor diversity: 90% men No 401k matching Everyone on contact lists has already been reached out to Departments have competing interests and poor communication/cooperation Super quiet office Horrible severance packages for the longtime salespeople that were let go as part of the reorganization Decreasing opportunities for commission (taking away rep contacts, telling salespeople to be more selective with trials) combined with a low base salary makes it hard to make decent money
