I worked at Zacks Investment Research full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are some good people brought in to keep a ship with a lot of holes in it afloat. Very hard working vibes, but the "feeling" can only carry you so long where most people don't last longer than 2 years and move on to bigger and better things.

    Cons

Many under qualified people leading teams, especially the IT department, where they have no game plan and work is more about fixing fires than growing the company.

    Advice to Management

Do not continue to keep the "play with the hand your dealt with" attitude and hire some quality leadership and staff. Replace the heads of the IT department.

    Pros

Initially they are good with the interview
(there is only one round with manager and you will be told to write a blog with certain word limit )

they promise good things in the interviews

    Cons

the place is full of politics.
worse management, few QCA(as they call it here) quality control anchors are weird, judge you from the very first day at office.
editors are okayish, but they are very rude at times
seniors are not helpful. had a tough time because of few seniors and team leads.
Moreover it is a meagre company, not much growth,
THEY ARE NOT AT ALL PROFESSIONAL

    Advice to Management

NOT AT ALL EMPLOYEE FRIENDLY, NO ETHICS,

    Pros

only the manager named kayan is good and sensible out there rest is history

    Cons

the team leads in the so called pharma or medical device sector is horrendous! there is no training or conference room in zacks. there is no training period in zacks. they are just so rude and not at all employee friendly. the team leads feel jealous if the new joinees wear good new clothes and stylish clothes to office. There is no office decorum and Groupism going on in the office space! the tenure employees out there will go and speak bad words and wat not in front of the managers! as i said before they are Expert in Politics and forms Union of their own to throw any new employees they get jealous of. Additionally they will never like your own piece of write up and force you to follow their own setup! Moreover there is only one bad infrastructure office in kolkata and nowhere in india and that too all lame people working here! few people who realized that working here is a utter waste of time has moved on to good employee friendly firms like pwc hsbc and netscribes after working under crazy leads in zacks! pwc netscribes are much better because they value their employees understands their employee and give their employees to understand the process and train them for also over two months if required! and pwc is a global co. evn netscribes has offices in all over india! so guys join in zacks at ur own risk! no appraisal no company admin is there its just a random company opened by a random person doing an outsourcing job writing blogs and misguiding investors around the world! people who will pay to see their blogs will waste their hard earned money! who pays to read this kind of blogs where half of their english is not understandable at all! ??? what kind of rubbish sentence they put in their write ups? ? people have run in losses after following their so called report! such poor quality!!!! THis is Not even an Analyst job mind it! they dont even do proper analysis! they just follow other blogs from morning star and seeking alpha and frame the same things in their own english ( which they think is very much correct english)!! guys who are trying to join zacks thinkin that it will be very good fr their future plz guys u people are going to forget the english u know !! Beware

    Advice to Management

please please take care of the new employees and dont behave rude or start up politics against them otherwise this company will be shut forever!
