I have been working at Zales part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with, in general, are fantastic and you will have a blast most of the time.

    Cons

What really sucks about this job is the new commission structure where you have to rely on your "team" in order to make any money other than just your base pay. Also a lot of the time it is dead depending on which store you end up at. This used to be an amazing company to work for then once we merged with signet it has gone downhill fast. With commission being cut from us twice in a year and not being able to make plan on an insane goal. I use to love this job and now it just sucks.

    Advice to Management

    Stop...just stop.

I have been working at Zales full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great on the job training. They ensure that you have the knowledge you need, as long as you are willing.

    Cons

Very VERY unfortunate commission structure change. You are now required to rely on your "team" to help with your own paycheck. If you sell 100% over your plan and the store doesn't make it, your commission suffers greatly. I personally do not want to depend on others for my household.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking away from the "little guys". You require more output, pay less to do so, and make life miserable while doing so. This company used to be great. Don't "fix" things that were never broken. I know you guys want more money. Well, so do we. We make you money. So treat us right.
