Pay is reasonable, co-workers were great
The owner is a micromanager. He constantly critiques everything you do, down to the way you sit. Not only are you a laser technician but you are receptionist, expected to order supplies, do marketing; basically everything. The owner is very cheap and will not hire the appropriate people for these positions. The owner constantly interrupts your sessions with clients and often times starts talking to them about parts of tattoo removal they do not really care about, they just want it gone they don't necessarily care how it is done. He does not pick up on these social ques from the clients and continues to talk to them for long periods of time. He feels like he needs to talk to EVERY client that comes in. Even if something is not your responsibility or under your job description he feels you are responsible if something goes wrong and are to blame. We had a great manager who tried to filter the owners comments and had a positive outlook everyday. Oh and the owner constantly changed the protocols and guidelines.
Advice to Management
Let the technicians do their job and stop micromanaging the business. At one time you had a dedicated group of employees but they all quite because you stresses them out everyday.

No paid holidays; no vacation; no benefits
10 hour days and no lunch schedule for the employees, or breaks. You will be expected to do everything in the establishment. I was hired as a laser technician and was told I had to do marketing, sales, social media, administrative work, buying supplies for our location (on my own time) ordering, cleaning, fixing toilets and sinks. The owner holds you accountable for everything even if it is not in your job description and not what you were hired to do. Stressful work environment, very chaotic and constantly changing the rules.
Advice to Management
The owner of this company thinks he is an employee and comes into work everyday. Mostly he bothers the clients by saying inappropriate things, walking in on them while they are undressed, forcing them to drink water so he can start conversations. They need more employees. Owner tries to take the place of the receptionist because he cannot afford one, but messes up the schedule and complicates things. He is a micromanager that will ask you to change the way you talk, sit, greet clients. He will compromise the safety of the clients by asking the techs to lie and schedule clients earlier, so that he can make more money. Not a stable work environment, the owner is constantly stressing all of the employees and everyone quits within months. Owner will tell everyone his personal business and say inappropriate things to clients/staff consistently.
Owner needs to stay out of the managers way and let them run the business. Owner will blame low sales, client retention, bad Yelp reviews on everyone but himself. Refuses to spend money on marketing. Will force employees to write fake reviews on Yelp and also bribe clients to post reviews.
