I worked at Zara part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pays better than most retail jobs, good for students and good place to start

    Cons

The management is very poor. Managers expect you to work more than full capacity but are not willing to help! Instead they will criticize if you make a mistake, and never appreciate if you do something right!

    Advice to Management

Hire less managers and more sales associates!

    I worked at Zara part-time

    Pros

Workers get paid commission if your store meets the sales amount. Co workers are very helpful compared to management.

    Cons

Management is beyond terrible. Training was not well and I didn't know what my title was in the store. First day of work and I was already getting yelled at. They all speak Spanish so if you don't, you're left out of everything. Everyone was surprised that I spoke Spanish so they couldn't talk bad about me. Could not stay another day working. You pretty much do everything but your job title here. Management think they are kings and queens.

    Advice to Management

Be more concerned towards employees. Be patient and understanding. Speak English for the most part because the workers that don't feel left out. Better training and cooperation. Friendly attitude not show you hate coming to work everyday!

I worked at Zara full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a large company, depending on your role you could potentially grow. Depending where you're situated as well might depend.

    Cons

Absolutely disgusting manners from staff. I felt more a customer walking around all day rather than a worker.
Staff need to learn respect for other people. Being in retail for a long time customer service means something to me and you can tell customers are used to not being acknowledged because they are all mostly rude most of the time so they expect this kind of thing a lot from what Ive seen. There's no work life balance either unfortunately. You'll be stuck doing most weekends and if you have a family or studying this is definitely no good.

    Advice to Management

Teach your staff some manners is probably the biggest thing. The values you possess or what you supposedly do don't line up with a lot of people. I've never seen one person habe an 'approachable' look on their face. Such a turn off working with people who think they're better than you and give you dirty looks whilst your working. Such a shame. I was so excited to work for such a huge company, and I gave it a go. But it just wasn't for me.
