Pros
The pay is good and you have 25% discount even if the product already has a discount
Cons
Sometimes colleagues are too stressful and they treat you in a bad way, also Zara's system treats you as if you are in high school

Pros
Great position and union that fought for a pay raise within a few months of starting at Zara. Great teammates, great communication with management. Flexible hours. Zara is neutral about unions which is a plus I hope that doesn’t change. Stocking devices are A+ Training is simple and easy and they love questions.
Cons
Walkie talkies aren’t always in the best shape but it’s not that big of a deal. Sometimes co workers need stock checks within the minute which is hard to do. Laundry Jet has broken down twice within a year which is sad because it’s essential to working in the stock room but management is usually quick to fix it. Sometimes all you do is hang replenishment or change hangers when there are no clip hangers or thin hangers but it’s an essential part of the job. Not much to complain about really.

Pros
From perspective of working behind at the cash desk - they take the responsibility of handling cash/transactions quite seriously and so they give good training and pay decently (for retail sector) - when I was there, there was definitely a culture of managers are expected to work as hard if not harder than their juniors (ie set an example). This was different from other high street clothing retails I have worked for when managers stand around issuing orders but doing very little themselves - if you love fashion it is nice to get first dibs as things come in and there is a decent staff discount
Cons
- like most retail it can be a physically gruelling job. There are no seats for cashiers so you are standing all day (unlike for example if you work in Tesco at the checkout where you are sitting) - during busy periods like pre-Christmas or during the sales it is stressful with huge queues, but that isn't specific to Zara (and managers will often jump in to help with packing bags etc)

Pros
The pay is decent but Zara is a stressful place to work at so its not even worth it
Cons
The discount is horrible, the work life balance doesn't exist and they over work employees

Pros
Good pay for retail and there's an increase in hourly rate each year as an employee.
Cons
The hours are long and the schedule could be erratic at times.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Good pay with double pay on sundays and bank holidays and commissions based on sales for the month. Uniform provided. Fast paced so the days pass quickly. Always have something to do.
Cons
Not enough hours for all tasks to be completed. Can get very tiresome when you dont have enough support to get some tasks done.

Good pay

Good pay which can increase into higher bands depending on if Zara meets certain ‘selling quotas’ Straightforward tasks
Cons
Working 6 hour shift meant only a 20 minute break which is pretty standard across most shops but a longer break would’ve been nice if I was offered a longer shift
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
The only 2 pros to this job is the employee discount and a higher pay than other stores. A work environment that is stressful and isn't worth the pay.
Cons
Managers are condescending and incapable of treating their associates with respect. Regular associates are treated as disposables, and are overworked.

Pay is good and you don’t have to bring home stress comparing to an office job. Lovely to see the director of the store actually appreciating our job!
Cons
Tiring but like any other job.
