I have been working at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - I have been associated with Zebra(Formerly Motorola Solutions/Symbol) for more than 10 years, it has been a satisfactory and enriching journey so far.
    - Offers Good Work Life balance (Projects/Programs are well planned ahead)
    - Working on Niche Technology (Enterprise Mobility, RFID, IOT)
    - Open door culture to express your views, concerns
    - Management supports and emphasize to think through innovative idea's and work on POC to showcase in the Technology event.
    - Management is supportive on internal job movements across the team's, which helps to get exposure to different areas.
    - Zebra is a growing company as it is on a hiring spree, thus provides lots of opportunity to lead and succeed.
    - Compensation is satisfactory to Good, At lower levels the compensation is very competitive.

    Cons

    - Process Oriented which at times might take a toll on the overall productivity
    - No Recreation room / No Gym
    - Branding is a concern, thou they are the No.1 in the Enterprise Mobility.

    Advice to Management

    - Management needs to think through ways in Branding the company, as it is not well known name in the Indian IT Industry. Thou Zebra is number 1 in the Enterprise Mobility Market with 60+% market share (Honeywell the next competitor is far behind with ~20%).
    - Plan on Yearly Master Health checkup program for the employee's.

I have been working at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Zebra has a great combination of being old enough for true stability in most departments, yet still constantly striving for innovation. Collaboration is common and expected. Everyone has visibility to the company vision. If you have good self-motivation, you can make almost any job into what you want it to be.

    Cons

Management still has an entrepreneurial mindset so don't expect much hand-holding. You need to be very self-motivated to get promotions and influence change. It is not very diverse - Engineering, sales, support, and management are very dominated by white men.

    Advice to Management

It's not just about strong vision - diversity drives innovation. If you want to make that vision a reality, consider your hiring practices.

I have been working at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Work is challenging and interesting
People are engaged, open, helpful, and knowledgeable
    Salary and benefits are competitive
    CEO has high integrity

    Cons

Since acquiring the Motorola Enterprise business, legacy Zebra workers are often overlooked or disregarded. Enterprise workers outnumber Zebras.

    Advice to Management

Remember the success of pre-acquisition Zebra, and the problems Motorola had. Leverage the strengths of BOTH companies instead of replicating the Motorola way.

I worked at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The gym. The commute. The ability to work from home. Most of the people that work their butts off to get the job done.

    Cons

The fact that although most of the senior management has taken the cultural training, one allows bullying to exist within his organization. And he has his "favorites" that can do no wrong.

    Advice to Management

Remove the bully. If someone is going to be supervising others, they need to further their education in supervising. "Being there the longest" doesn't make you a good supervisor.

I have been working at Zebra Technologies as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and learning atmosphere. They go out there way to integrate you.

    Cons

Emotional roller coasters, from zero to urgent in a matter of a few hours and then your boss ignores you for weeks(of course, maybe not company wide). The resources needed are sometimes not available and then you are blamed for it.

    Advice to Management

    Listen AND act
