    Pros

    Work is challenging and interesting
People are engaged, open, helpful, and knowledgeable
    Salary and benefits are competitive
    CEO has high integrity

    Cons

Since acquiring the Motorola Enterprise business, legacy Zebra workers are often overlooked or disregarded. Enterprise workers outnumber Zebras.

    Advice to Management

Remember the success of pre-acquisition Zebra, and the problems Motorola had. Leverage the strengths of BOTH companies instead of replicating the Motorola way.

I worked at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The gym. The commute. The ability to work from home. Most of the people that work their butts off to get the job done.

    Cons

The fact that although most of the senior management has taken the cultural training, one allows bullying to exist within his organization. And he has his "favorites" that can do no wrong.

    Advice to Management

Remove the bully. If someone is going to be supervising others, they need to further their education in supervising. "Being there the longest" doesn't make you a good supervisor.

I have been working at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Now they have good benefits did not before, however you should allow the fact you aren't vested until 5 years in print or allow managers to tell our staff, it's alot of money zebra keeps

    Cons

Too many managers trying to bring friends or inexperience people, millineals mostly. Discriminating on age and other reasons. Picking on people that are going through personal crisis, managers not knowing the signs of a team member in trouble

    Advice to Management

Hire more carassimatic managers who care more about others than bringing their friends or discriminating of those in crisis. Managers should be tested in ability to actual manage and have compassion. Leaders need to walk the talk of the culture. Zebra has a good thing going but leadership in HR and Talent Acquisition need to learn to lead with integrity and compassion for each employee. I am surprised we have not been charge with discrimination. It's scary to like what you do because they find reasons to not care or write up lies about you and just dont listen but hear what the want. The marketing hr team could teach the others. Now after this review do you think the advise will be to talk to the individuals answering these reviews knowing they are the guilt parties. More people feel this way but are afrad of the consequences to them and their jobs. Bottom line we have some mean people managing others

I worked at Zebra Technologies (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work from home. Simple work.

    Cons

The hierarchy there was ridiculous. The latter of people I reported to was unnecessary. The people in upper management are mostly older, white men. For a technology company, they were that innovative. Most managers have their favorite employees and the office is literally in the middle of nowhere. The commute was awful. The culture for most departments needed improvement.

    Advice to Management

To set a respectful precedence that goes beyond yourself.

I have been working at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good company to work for, if you know somebody inside

    Cons

Paying attention to unimportant, unnecessary things and leaving behind what is more important. Hiring incompetent uneducated, inexperience people who dont necessarily have an electronic background. Low quality, just to save money. Promotions not on the bases of how competent you are for the job, it is lot easier to get hired if you know someone inside.

    Advice to Management

Start paying attention on more important things, stop wasting resources on culture building among the people who dont understand and incapable. Find and give proper recognition to the people who are really valuable and capable.

I worked at Zebra Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent salary, cafe and gym on site, lots of very nice people

    Cons

Management says they respect & encourage work/life balance because they do allow people to work from home occasionally but don't expect to work less then 50 hours a week (anywhere at Zebra). Internal resources are tight, so if you suggest a good idea (expect to be expected to be the lone wolf who solely executes this idea) Promotions = 3-5 years if you are a rock star otherwise you better like the starting position you accepted because you could die in that cube farm.
Oh, vacations? If you take one, don't forget your cell phone (guaranteed they'll need you)
Finally the company is run by "a man-child club" a group of Directors/VP's playing golf once a week and acting like tyrants. There is a lot of room for success if you're a shark with enthusiasm for playing the game!

    Advice to Management

Instead of siting in your culture meetings talking about creating a culture. Get to know your employees below director level
