Pros
-The People. You are surrounded by passionate, hardworking, helpful, ambitious, driven, fun, smart co-workers. Most importantly, managers are extremely supportive and give recognition for your effort. This environment is extremely empowering and motivating. -The Opportunity. Growth equals opportunity. The company is super young and there are chances everywhere to contribute, make a difference, and be a part of something amazing. -The Leadership. CEO is incredibly transparent, sincere, honest and genuine. Client support management is very talented and recognizes people who are working hard. They also work very hard themselves and lead by example. -The Challenge. This is definitely a challenging job. I am learning a crazy amount of information and skills every day. Being uncomfortable equals growth both professionally and personally. -The Learning. Health Insurance, payroll services, customer service, customer support, technology, leadership, management. You name it you will learn it. -The Culture. Super fast growing and successful company attracts incredible talent. What you accomplish as a team is far greater than what you could ever accomplish on your own. That is the biggest perk. You are surrounded by amazing people who challenge you and help you grow at incredible speed. If you are looking to challenge yourself and accomplish more than you ever thought possible Zenefits is the place for you. Oh yeah, absurdly great snacks, refreshments, and beer. #winning
Cons
None. If people don't like the hours then they simply aren't passionate about the business or the people or the experience or the opportunity. I worked long hours at my previous jobs and I will work long hours here. The difference? Zenefits is super exciting and meaningful and the people you interact with are amazing. I love that I am growing my skill set like crazy, making awesome connections and am a part of something great. This is an amazing opportunity and you have the chance to be a part of and contributing to something much bigger than yourself. Your career has meaning. Zenefits is a great fit for people looking to push themselves and take their career/life to the next level.

Pros
Lots of autonomy and smart people. Lots of room to take on responsibilities you might not get a chance to in other, bigger companies. Most employees are extremely hard working, which rubs off on others, creating an environment in which you want to push yourself to be better. Also, free dinners if you work late.
Cons
Working long hours is very common. Reporting hierarchy still being built out, at least on the engineering side of things (probably due to the fact that the company grew from <100 to 1000+ in about a year).

Pros
- Good compensation, incentives - Fully stocked fridge and snacks (good kind as well) - Ability to wear whatever you wanted to work - New office building (Scottsdale) in the summer - "Free" software platform for companies to utilize - Mac Air provided and a younger employees
Cons
- Felt as if the recruiter did not give a full picture of what the job entailed - A lot of insurance knowledge is needed, and very specific questions will be asked by companies. There is a very steep learning curve if you do not know anything about insurance - During the interview process, I was told that it was as simple as signing up a company to use Zenefits and you get commission on each 'life'. However, commission is only paid for those employees that sign up and use insurance for whatever company you are selling - Long hours (minimum 10 hours) - although they do tell you before you begin - When I was recruited I was told there would be no territories whatsoever, but than was assigned certain states to work with - Many of the sales managers only had 3 months experience as an Account Executive before becoming a manager

Pros
To this date, because of the many late nights and camaraderie in the Operations Team, we had one of the tightest teams in my career. Catered dinner, open bar (before it got taken away), hard-working people. Long hours and being hourly meant tons of overtime. Learned a lot about what goes on (good and bad) in a start-up going through hyper-growth. Made some good contacts back from my day at big Z. Learned what NOT to do in a startup going forward.
Cons
At the time, toxic politics, culture, and nepotism everywhere. Leadership in their own bubble not taking any action despite all the feedback. Department leaders with 0 experience and relevant skill sets were managing and failing miserably at it. The consequences trickled down and lead to a burned-out and underpaid Operations Team with little career progression. Exciting times between 2015-2016 but outright scary given the waves of lawsuits and layoffs that followed. The Operations team was clocking in 70-80 hour weeks in Q4 and had holiday blackout dates. Felt like a sweatshop disguised as a startup. The company is on its 3rd CEO and downsized almost 50% in 2017. Think hard about what that says about this organization if you're considering joining.

Pros
- Kitchen full of snacks and drinks (free) - Variety of People - Casual Dress - Team Outings - Small Perks (amazon gift cards etc) - You can take a break whenever you want
Cons
- LONG hours 7a-5p in office then 6-8pm finding new leads at home - Have to find your own leads - At normal places quota is set by averaging what sales reps are doing with some reps hitting high and the rare hitting below BUT at Zenefits it is RARE to even make quota. - Management are just old SDRs (no experience in managing) - Only one defined career path which is an Account Executive - High Turnover

Pros
-Free Food -Good salary -great product (aesthetically) -Wear what you want -Fun atmosphere (For the most part) -Lots of opportunities to learn -Great first sales job or out of college
Cons
EVERYTHING ELSE -Expected long hours -have to cheat the system or stay in grey area to hit quota/goals -shady ethically in upper management -upper management is a joke. Lack respect, honor, integrity, caring & most importantly aren't real men or women. Just un-honorable pompous hipsters -Terrible sales cycle/implementation -promised certain things, not even close. A true bait & switch recruiting style -Product is always glitching, down, or broken. -ZERO customer support & the little they do get are from reps that don't know what they're talking about -150% call center mentality & cold calling -DO NOT come here from another respectful sales career with a Fortune 500 company. This place is a joke & will take you backwards in your sales career. They claim to hire 'experience sales professionals with proven track records' only to tell you to stop using those strategies that worked for you in the past & to 'read the script' Its all script here. No rapport, relationship building or 'salesman-ship' You are a human robot.

Pros
Long Hours- Great Commissions- Opportunity to advance fast - Managers who care and help with talent development -pressure to preform - expectations set from the start - GROWTH EVERYWHERE - Why are long hours and pressure to preform on Pros? If you are the type of sales person who wants to come and do the bare minimum leave at 5pm and be in the 15-25% tax bracket i suggest you don't work here. For me i like to work for a company who expects the best from the talent they hire. If you work hard here you will be successful.. you will be rewarded... you will make money....you will have a career not a job. If you don't care to advance in your career then you should prob stay at the job you have and keep working normal hours. If you want more from your career and are hungry and understand that it takes hard work and dedication in anything in life to achieve what you want then ill see you in a new hire class staying late soon. **There are a ton of opportunities with this company can't stress that enough for pros of this job.
Cons
This is a new company a lot of exciting things are happening everyday. This also can lead to some frustration when things don't go exactly how there suppose to for you. The good news is you learn way more then you ever thought you would when things don't work perfect and the next time around your that much smarter and more equipped to handle situations. if you take this job remember to be patient and above all stay positive.
