I worked at ZenithOptimedia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Came in through the media trainee program so it was good to get the feel of the environment before "starting full time." The program participants are great and we formed a sort of closed knit family.

Agencies in general tend to get pampered by sales teams so be prepared for many 'lunch and learns" and invitations to open bar events.

    Cons

Get in and get out fast! Teams are constantly getting reformatted because people are constantly quitting. Of course that means the work load will land on you and if you can't keep up you'll be out the door. Although the trainee program helps somewhat with the transition to full time all teams are different and if you are put on another team almost like starting again from scratch.

In hindsight pay was sub par ( although they try to convince you otherwise) and people could be shady.

    Advice to Management

Provide PROPER training and stop under staffing teams.

I have been working at ZenithOptimedia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Zenith is a fun place to work and the people are great. The trainee program is also a nice place to start a career in media and the pay is competitive.

    Cons

The work/life balance isn't the greatest on some of the larger accounts. There is also a lack of communication.

    Advice to Management

The work/life balance needs to improve and teams need to be properly staffed in order to handle client's demands.

I have been working at ZenithOptimedia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well known company good to have on your resume. Have support from the parent company - Publicis. Fast paced environment, opportunity to learn and build good skills depends on what account you are working on.

    Cons

Management is too junior which makes it hard for the rest of the employees. Promotions are not always based on experience but more or less who is your buddy. Not lead by example kind of place.

    Advice to Management

Management should embrace workers as most valuable asset instead of only following their personal interests.

I have been working at ZenithOptimedia (More than a year)

    Pros

There are awesome people that work here! Your managers actually care about you, what's going on in your life, and are the type of people who want you to take off because you're sick- it's awesome. Time off is incredible, and the company culture is unbeatable.

    Cons

No one likes, and as a byproduct, no one cares about the work they're doing. It's a pretty passion-less workplace. It's also difficult to move around to other departments.

    Advice to Management

Maybe be a little more willing to allow employees to move around more if they're interested in something else.
