I worked at Zimmer Biomet full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The work/life balance was pretty good. The benefits were good not great. 8% 401k match. Starting 2016 will be 6%. The people and manager were great to work with.

    Cons

Salaries for those early in career. Quality was overvalued and Development was undervalued.

    Advice to Management

Need to work more on growth. Better employee pay for those earlier in their career.

    Pros

    Salary average

    Cons

    "Real" Training is Non-Existent
    Employee Morale is very Low
Executive management disruptive and counterproductive to the product development process.
Employee confidence and trust in management is non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Develop real strategies for growth and then actually try to stick to the plan. In the incredible efforts exerted to meet the established goals for your yearly reviews, it is clear that you have overlooked actually doing your jobs.

    Pros

Challenging work in a demanding field with satisfaction in designing product to help people with spinal problems.

    Cons

Damatic swings in leadership efforts toward fixing issues. Many words spoken about intent to fix issues without any willingness to get their hands dirty in Correcting issues or to foster an environment in which fixing problems is paramount.

    Advice to Management

Foster an environment in supporting a strong CAPA system. Spend some money to do the job right the first time.

    Pros

Good benefits, decent colleagues, fair about time off, good work-life balance. Overtime rarely expected. Tuition reimbursement is nice and it's a friendly, moderately paced place.

    Cons

Typical mind-numbing cube farm, little recognition and because corporate is so stingy with promotions, people get bored (and insulted) before anything is done about it.

    Advice to Management

Utilize people's talents before they bail. And own up to your mistakes instead of pointing fingers.
