I worked at Zions Bancorporation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I would not recommend this job to anybody.

    Cons

Management is very under qualified. The only communication between this position and management will be if they are going to be putting employees on performance plans. This company/office/manager will do anything to make sure bonuses or benefits (tuition reimbursement) are not paid out. Don't plan on asking questions without getting an annoyed response.

    Advice to Management

Replace management with people who actually understand what management is.

    Pros

-banking hours -helping clients can be very rewarding -clean professional work environment

    Cons

-technologically ancient equipment and banking software a teller uses 4-6 different programs just to access a clients complete information. Making what should be simple transactions take 2-3 times longer than necessary, and making customers wait in line 2-3 times longer. even the in bank cameras are often lo-rez out dated equipment. -very little done to show employees are valued 'you are...

    Advice to Management

Stop bragging about your earnings and do the smart business model thing, re-invest some of that money into updating your systems and all locations. In today fast paced world customers hate waiting longer than necessary, if your competitor has shorter wait times you will loose customers. Technology is not just marching ahead its at a dead sprint, give your employees the best/latest equipment and software possible...

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Nice atmosphere , good employees

    Cons

Micromanaging, bad benefits, your dental plan is a reimbursement plan, which is pointless since dental procedures aren’t cheap.

    Advice to Management

Stop the micromanagement. Managers aren’t even allowed to approve their own teams days off.

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A lot of ability to move around. Will stay busy. Encouraged to innovate and create efficiencies

    Cons

Poor benefits- although they are recently (w/ in the last month) improving. Things take a long time to change. Unfair compensation. “Tier” System is non-existent. Opportunities to attend classes are few and far between. No systems in place to evenly divide a task load.

    Advice to Management

Instate a real, fair, consistent tier system. Equip a team with skills to support all roles of said team- for example, to allow a all team members to attend classes and improve skills. See cons.

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, good work-life balance, good name recognition in the community.

    Cons

People come to Zions Bancorporation because it represents stability and connection to the community. Unfortunately, over the last several years it has been woefully unstable, despite what it looks like from the outside. Employees are unhappy, but few dare to say anything about it. There continues to be massive change, organizational realignments, and consequently people are always in fear of losing their jobs. ...

    Advice to Management

Retire, please. Let someone take over who actually cares about people and not just padding the wallets of investors and themselves. You all ought to be embarrassed.
