I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Nice atmosphere , good employees

    Cons

Micromanaging, bad benefits, your dental plan is a reimbursement plan, which is pointless since dental procedures aren’t cheap.

    Advice to Management

Stop the micromanagement. Managers aren’t even allowed to approve their own teams days off.

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A lot of ability to move around. Will stay busy. Encouraged to innovate and create efficiencies

    Cons

Poor benefits- although they are recently (w/ in the last month) improving. Things take a long time to change. Unfair compensation. “Tier” System is non-existent. Opportunities to attend classes are few and far between. No systems in place to evenly divide a task load.

    Advice to Management

Instate a real, fair, consistent tier system. Equip a team with skills to support all roles of said team- for example, to allow a all team members to attend classes and improve skills. See cons.

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, good work-life balance, good name recognition in the community.

    Cons

People come to Zions Bancorporation because it represents stability and connection to the community. Unfortunately, over the last several years it has been woefully unstable, despite what it looks like from the outside. Employees are unhappy, but few dare to say anything about it. There continues to be massive change, organizational realignments, and consequently people are always in fear of losing their jobs. ...

    Advice to Management

Retire, please. Let someone take over who actually cares about people and not just padding the wallets of investors and themselves. You all ought to be embarrassed.

I have been working at Zions Bancorporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work environment is amazing. Lots of fun with coworkers. Benefits are comparable to other financial institutions. Executive team knows what they want, set clear goals, and communicate quarterly.

    Cons

Very conservative company. Invests slowly on new technology. Doesn't want to be left behind by FinTech companies, but adoption of new project management styles are slow.

    Advice to Management

Move faster in adopting new tends. Test things on pilots before releasing to the public.
