    Pros

The people make all the difference!

    Cons

Would appreciate the opportunity to make more money while in the same position (but increasing responsibility). Grateful for any increase for a job well done, but annual percentage increases are small.

I have been working at Zoetis full-time

    Pros

The people are talented and dedicated. The team mentality dominates and there seems to be little in the way of drama. Benefits are also decent and PTO is generous compared to other employers. Time off is rarely denied. Depending on job responsibilities, lenient with work hours.

    Cons

    Mixed signals again and again.
The organization has gotten very lean and everyone is more or less set in their position but HR pushes colleague development and advancement. This hurts in two ways. First, everyone is taking on more with little reward to cover the growing workload. Second, told point blank by HR that movement would be lateral, not vertical, from here on out, so getting any kind of raise is difficult beyond the standard yearly 3%.
Promotions are almost non-existent in some areas as basic structure below department head is STILL uncertain making advancement impossible.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep talent, show it with what you offer as a salary and be more mindful of what you're asking your team to do. Don't talk about colleague development and advancement then turn around and say people can't move.

    Pros

Employee contributions from all levels are highly valued. The workforce is full of very talented individuals and it is a team-based culture. They do a good job with employee development. Overall, it's just an excellent work environment.

    Pros

Great environment for interns to progress and learn new things. The company is very clear that they want all interns to come out of this internship with new knowledge so they really encourage everybody to venture into new departments for a day or so in order to get the most out of their summer at Zoetis.

My experience with my manager was amazing, he made sure to show me around town, update me on projects, and even encouraged me to break away from my project every once in a while to go experience new things within the company so that I can see what else there is to experience in research and development.

Zoetis also brings interns on various field trips throughout the summer which is amazing and tons of fun as well! They really spoil the interns with tons of "souvenirs" from Zoetis

    Cons

Housing is not included which is a negative, but Kalamazoo is a college town so there are always students looking for subleasers.

    Advice to Management

Other than to include housing for the summer, nothing.

I worked at Zoetis (More than a year)

    Pros

A great position to start right out of high school or college. There are lots of opportunities to move around to different departments. Great benefits and 401K package.

    Cons

The pay could have been better and the bonus system needed some re-working.
