high caliber people, use of advanced analytical techniques - both of these help me learn more and continue developing working as part of a team to launch a bank gives me the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of banking, like capital and liquidity very good work / life balance - team is flexible, working from home is allowed

Pros

The company culture is good, a large part of which is due to hiring friendly and helpful employees. Most people are willing to engage with you and help. There is a wide range of people at Zopa with all have very different skill-sets, so it's not a bad place to learn new skills from others.

Cons

Things can move frustratingly slowly and often other parts of the business that you rely on to get a task done feels unconnected or unconcerned. If you are looking to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced company, this is not it.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work on creating a great company culture. Some parts of the business are under-resourced and slow other parts down, it'd be good to fix that.

Pros

As per review headline, the leadership team including CEO are intelligent, ethical and genuine. Good culture, value & meaningful mission.

I believe there's room to push staff a little harder to get things done without upsetting the culture too much. Comp a little low while the company invests in growth

There is a fabulous collaborative atmosphere - everyone genuinely seems to be working to the same goals. Friendly and relaxed workplace, but don't be fooled - everyone's working really hard! The Friday Company Meeting is great for joining the dots so we all know what's going on and feel a part of the journey.

Location too great? Office too cool? Work too interesting? People too lovely? Nope - can't think of any!

Pros

I look forward to coming in to work at Zopa more than any place I've worked before. - The culture is pretty unique: fun but focused on results, you get treated like an adult and given independence to follow things that you're passionate about while being supported to get there. Perks: - Friday drinks and social events, free fruit and breakfast, good gym in the building - Nice office with a range of... spaces to work - Passionate friendly and intelligent people full of ambition

We get so much done but sometimes need to stop and reflect on success before moving on the next new idea!

Advice to Management

Maintain Zopa’s culture as it grows. I have had fantastic managers at Zopa but I wonder if this is true for everyone, my advice to management would be to role model those managers’ successes across the business to ensure consistency. Keep up the good work and special culture, induct newbies carefully to give them the best possible introduction to what is a very special company and make sure Zopa keeps developing... in the best way.
