I have been working at Zoup! part-time

    Pros

Free meal when you work 4 or more hours!
Shift hours are very flexible (usually - depends if your boss is nice)
Night Shifters only have to work 6-5 hours whereas day time usually have to work 7-8 (full time)

    Cons

It took me 8 months to be fully confident in what I was doing. They don't train you very well.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees better. For the first 6 months I was doing everything wrong until finally a co-worker yelled at me that I should know how to do things... but I didn't! I learned everything as I went!

I worked at Zoup! full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really good soup! Expo line is fun! Coworkers training you are nice. Good health insurance. Good hours. One owner is very nice.

    Cons

Bad Franchise owner in Columbus. Shifty practices like moving you from one store to another to avoid paying overtime. Treating employees like children. Micromanaging and not allowing managers to do their job. Allowing violent emoloyees to remain after they threaten to harm others. Requiring meetings at their home and trying not to pay people. Low pay! This owner will call and rext you 24/7 even in the middle of the night.
Avoid talking to employees about promised pay.

    Advice to Management

    Let people do their jobs.

    I worked at Zoup! part-time

    Pros

Staff were friendly and personable, and there was generally a good work atmosphere. Food was also provided for long shifts.

    Cons

Not much allowance for upwards movement, some issues with management and availability. Often scheduled for thirty minutes under said long shifts to avoid food compensation.

    Advice to Management

Over-staffing at unnecessary times, and under-staffing at necessary times.

I have been working at Zoup! part-time

    Pros

This location was willing to hire almost anyone. Training is needed anyways, so why not. Learning on the job and learning the training videos was not hard.
Very willing to adjust schedules for employees issues.

    Cons

If people slack off or if their is not enough people hired, it gets crazy.
Lots of details are needed to be memorized so that things are done Zoups way.

They use a "trial period" for free labor.

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse and refer back to your "zoupisms" because everything was the complete opposite. "No jerks" includes you.
