    Pros

People at Zynga are genuinely passionate about their work and share a common vision of connecting the world through social games, and creating meaningful relationships for players. Zynga has great opportunities for growth and learning, especially for high performers. There is a strong “work hard- play hard” mentality across teams and people’s careers are rewarded tremendously. It’s a dynamic environment, surrounded with smart, driven, and motivated people. The office space itself is open and inspiring and they provide amazing benefits to reward employees (gym, 401K match, free food etc.). Benefits and salary are top-notch and highly competitive with other tech leaders in the Bay Area. It’s rare to find a company with such a strong culture and mission.

    Cons

I feel very optimistic about Zynga’s future.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to make huge changes in existing and new games, working with people with lots of expertise and experience, and world class facilities and amenities.

    Cons

Not a lot of big games to work on currently, disconnection between studio communication, and continuing to fight consolidation in the game market.

    Advice to Management

We need to continue to design and create games in house vs. acquiring external studios then closing them.

    Pros

Challenging, launched a game title and have learned a ton

    Cons

There is a bit of politics, but not too bad
The company is still in the transition stages of its strategy, so there's a lot of differing opinions along the spectrum

    Advice to Management

Keep going with the strategy -- once we start to see results I think people will start to gain confidence in the direction of the company

Some of the coolest people who are very passionate about what they do. You feel like you are part of the product and everyone's opinions are heard.)
Free food and tons of things to do if you need a break, unlimited vacation (It's actually unlimited not one of those things they say to have you onboard) and Dog friendly.

    Cons

I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Catered lunch, trips, dog-friendly, happy hour every week or every day depending on how your boss feels, plenty of company outings, work from home, generous vacation and health care benefits. Lots of programs at your fingertips for free.

    Cons

Constant lay-offs and resignations from the top down, plus lots of misleading objectives. That job description for a new VIP Account Manager is very misleading. Your day to day tasks will primarily involve taking constant calls from gambling addicts (VIPs) with too much free time, that expect you to spend your entire day talking to them. They will call you crying, howling, throwing temper tantrums, create fake illnesses, blast you on social media, stole my Facebook photo and edit it, complain to your boss and write the CEO. Aside from that, you will not be retrieving any revenue reports to assess your efforts, your skills will not grow, you will not become efficient in learning the systems unless you literally teach yourself, provided you have access. In addition, the disconnect between management will make it nearly impossible to provide any form of consistency to your client base. Oh and if you even blink too many times you will be pulled into a coaching to come up with a way for you to stop blinking so much. And meetings, meetings, meetings, meetings... boy will there be impromptu meetings in addition to the ones previously on your calendar. You'll meet to get told-off as a team, and you'll meet to give ideas, only for someone in a higher position to capitalize off of your idea while you receive no credit. To summarize, you will spend most of your day sending emails to the same people about the same issues, talking on the phone non-stop, mostly to the same people several times a day about the same thing again and again. Don't blink too much unless you want to be coached on a solution for that. If you want to deal all with that then please apply.

    Advice to Management

It's frustrating to work in an environment where our direct manager constantly undermines her boss... the senior director. If I could give it zero stars I would. #Fixit

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary if negotiated well, stocked kitchen and free lunch although these benefits have been reduced drastically in the recent few months and most others on the way out

    Cons

Office politics, mediocre middle managers without competence staying put at Zynga for a few years driving the company down, work culture is terrible

    Advice to Management

deliver on promises, focus on longer term goals than immediate results and remove incompetent people staying for many years on the basis of office politics
