    Pros

People at Zynga are genuinely passionate about their work and share a common vision of connecting the world through social games, and creating meaningful relationships for players. Zynga has great opportunities for growth and learning, especially for high performers. There is a strong “work hard- play hard” mentality across teams and people’s careers are rewarded tremendously. It’s a dynamic environment, surrounded with smart, driven, and motivated people. The office space itself is open and inspiring and they provide amazing benefits to reward employees (gym, 401K match, free food etc.). Benefits and salary are top-notch and highly competitive with other tech leaders in the Bay Area. It’s rare to find a company with such a strong culture and mission.

    Cons

I feel very optimistic about Zynga’s future.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary / benefit packages, good people, new CEO.

    Cons

Stock has stagnated, but showing signs of going up this year.

    Advice to Management

Leaving because stock (retention) plan expired and new bonus structure does not really replace it (could be worth $0, so must be accounted as such).

I have been working at Zynga full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Having worked on pretty much every kind of game there is, I found a home at Zynga. I have made 5 MMOs, a first person shooter, an RTS and other genres. I have never been to a place that takes care of its employees better. I do not crunch. I get respect and praise. I am paid exceptionally well... and I have had over 4 years of this. Great place to work.

    Cons

The CEO handoffs over the last few years have been problematic. However, from my studio, we have been given great respect and good treatment from the current CEO (Frank).

    Advice to Management

Keep driving toward a unified goal to let the team rally behind. When leadership falters, so do we.

I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to make huge changes in existing and new games, working with people with lots of expertise and experience, and world class facilities and amenities.

    Cons

Not a lot of big games to work on currently, disconnection between studio communication, and continuing to fight consolidation in the game market.

    Advice to Management

We need to continue to design and create games in house vs. acquiring external studios then closing them.

I have been working at Zynga full-time

    Pros

Challenging, launched a game title and have learned a ton

    Cons

There is a bit of politics, but not too bad
The company is still in the transition stages of its strategy, so there's a lot of differing opinions along the spectrum

    Advice to Management

Keep going with the strategy -- once we start to see results I think people will start to gain confidence in the direction of the company
